what i don't understand is that clubs get £1500-2000 fines for their fans racial abuse ie psv and zagreb and a manager of a non league club who gets feck all money for his troubles gets a £500 quid fine and a 6 match ban.

I think next time a referee makes a shocking decision we should hound the fecker until he cries and then see what the Fa do.

Here's what happened - Glozier sent the corner over, and Elmes hard drive was punched off the line – but not by the goalkeeper – the referee immediately pointed to the player and signalled hand ball, pointed to the spot, went for his red, or so it appeared, and then looked at the linesman, fifty yards away compared to the five yards the referee was away, and then allowed play to continue, before eventually stopping proceedings as he was engulfed in a sea of red and white. The only possible decision was a red card and a penalty. Yet no action had been taken.

At half time, the red card was belatedly waved – but not at the player in question. Instead it was Colin McBride who was the recipient, very obviously unhappy at the injustice which had infuriated the entire away following.

And whilst I think of it, who is organising the collection? Perhaps a sticky at the top of the forum would be a good idea to start with.

HFC have always had supporters who really support their club, and right now is the ideal time to show that solidarity. Count me and Jay in.

That was remarkably blatant, wasn't it?

A guy I work who with plays for Witham received a red card (deserved) earlier in the season and was banned from playing any level of competitive football for three weeks.

I'd never heard of that punishment before - I thought it was a straightforward three match ban. I wish the FA would grow some balls and treat the overpaid ponces the same as NL players/managers.

Lads,at the end of the day,it all comes down to what the man in black put down in his report. As managers,we all know that once that referee blows the whistle, there is nothing that we can do about it.We know we shouldn't overstep the mark and complaining will only make matters worse.Having said that,6 matches ban and £ 500 fine it's a bit out of order...armed robbers get less! crazy grin

Was it reserve team level? They operate a different system in that you are not banned for a number of matches but days, weeks etc.

One of our first team players was sent off in a reserve team match earlier in the season and was banned for 30 days!!!

Surprised the Witham chairman didn't kick up a 'riot' about that. wink

I think the McBride fine and ban is a joke.

A 10 point deduction would be much more fitting, leaving you just inside the relegation zone!

On a serious note, it annoys me when you see a non league manager fined a significant amount of money like that. Then the next minute, they fine teams like Chelsea £10k here and there knowing full well that it won't make a blind bit of difference to them.
