'Ricay v. Wombles - Tuesday

Recommended Posts

Some light rain forcast today with a colder, dryer, brighter day forcast tomorrow.

How's the pitch?

I took the dog for a tramp on the common yesterday. We didn't catch one, but noticed it was pretty slippery underfoot.

That wasn't very "cerebral" for Mr Foster, was it!

Anyway.. the Wombles. There was "only" a total attendance of 923 when they visited last year, and that was on a Saturday.

Can't see more than a couple of hundred or so making the trip on a Tuesday night, specially as they lost at Folkestone on Saturday. Hope I'm wrong though.

Ooh you old cynic Rick! To be fair i doubt Saturday will make any difference to the turn out tomorrow (didn't actually play that badly). I'm coming tomorrow but reckon they'll only be 250ish myself. I don't look forward to coming to New Lodge anymore as we have always been sh1te there - surely our luck's gotta change?

In percentage of home support terms, we probably travel as well as anybody else north of the river. Unfortunately, we are expected to take 1000+ wherever we go or people tend to get terribly upset. Sorry about that tongue grin

Possibly because its the only time 99% of clubs at this level get a gate above 1000 for a home match..... laugh

....the way the rain is bouncing off my conservatory roof as I write this, you may well have a wasted journey..... bigcry
