Team for Chatham game

I can't usually get too excited about KSC, but as we now have an enlarged and good squad, it seems appropriate to press on in the competition and get some more games in this season.

Thus maybe RT will play a stronger team than usual.

Dilemma is-the back 4 needs practice of playing together, but with the likes of Jay who seems a bit injury prone this season-do you rest him.

Will JJ and Corbishly be fit-looks like they may have taken knocks on saturday ?

I'd probably go with a line up such as this:

Bowles

Corbishley Smith Goodfellow Josephs

Axon Morris JJ Quain

Side Moir

Perhaps Trotty should have a run out to get some match fitness?

With Trott, Smith, Goodfellow, Jospehs, Corbishley and Saunders to pick from the defensive options look pretty solid. Id go for these to get some consistency rather than throw a ressie in just for the sake of it. Think Quaine deserves another go as does Axon and Moir.

Interseting how with players coming back from injury plus a couple of new signings we all of a sudden look to have the depth and potentially strength Robin has been looking for. I always enjoy the KSC - much more than the Isthmian League Cup, and when you look at the lis of players, it could be quite an exciting line up on Tuesday.

I have the feeling that a reasonably strong team will be out on Tuesday, I seem to recall Macca saying some silverware would be nice this season, and it is about the only cup left we are in isn't it?

But I do agree with you, Wellsie, Robin seems to have quietly and deliberately gone about assembling what looks to be a promising bunch of young players and good competition all over the park for places. Can only be good news for the rest of the season and then onwards and upwards from there.

I think it will be nice for us to win this competition this season, as it is silver wear albeit it's the Kent Senior Cup, but it's better the nothing. I think we will have near to a full team out there on Tuesday and if we go out for a comprehensive win then it could raise confidence further, which will help get the correct results in future games.

I think the win is needed to get more games in to justify the enlargened squad.

Defence certainly needs more practice as a unit.

In addition of course-assuming ink is dry-will be glad when it is confirmed- Peters may get a run out

I think we should all forget the FA Cup match earlier this season and look at yesterdays result for Chatham instead (a win over Dover).

Just seen on Ryman league site that match was abandoned in the 94th minute!!
