Hoddesdon Last Night

Recommended Posts

The reserves won 3 - 2 against bottom club Hoddesdon Town last night.

After surviving a 14 second penalty and cruising at 2 - 0, through goals by Ryan Moran (he's claiming it anyway) and Dean Stannard (outside of the right foot, top left hand corner), a defensive blunder by goalkeeper Pete Hanson allowed them back into the game.

With Hoddeson on the ascendancy and, it should be said some very poor decisions from the assistant referee, it was on the cards that they would equalise which they did through an own goal by Lee Gledhill.

Dean Stannard scored on the winner 10 minutes from time with a free kick from the edge of the area, after Greg Deacon had stepped over the ball.

There's a bit of toing and froing at the moment due to the formation of a Herts reserve league, however some of those who will be there next season are,

Braintree

Canvey Island

East Thurrock

Great Wakering

Heybridge Swifts

Hornchurch

Ilford

Leyton

Tibury

St Albans

Purfleet

Barking & East Ham

All in all there will be 16 teams
