Keeper No.1 - I find it interesting that, despite our success on the field of play, we all appear to have been at each others throats at the Club since you came onto the scene in late March and I don't think that's just a coincidence, you seem to have a knack of stirring up a hornets nest wherever you go and rubbing people up the wrong way.

I suppose somebody better warn Wingate & Finchley and any other poor unsuspecting bugger that might not realise the baggage that comes with employing "it".

Yes they wanted me to replace your successor around this time last season which is most flattering considering what a 'hard act' he had to follow at Parkfield, the Wingate and Finchley Chairman knows full well that what he sees is what he gets.

Yes Havant and Waterlooville have been mentioned.

Has Gordon left Cheshunt or not, did you see the article in Non League Today yesterday by Tom Loizou saying, amongst other things, that "the way the Club are set up at the moment I'd defy anybody to manage them" and "the structure of the Club needs to be radically changed and only then can the sleeping giant that is Cheshunt Football Club re-emerge".

Never liked Havant as a club. Unfriendly and tight as a drum.

They make the visiting team (including the kit) pass through a tiny turnstile to get in and tried to charge the Manager to get in! They sent Directors/committee passes in the post that are well thumbed bits of scissor cut paper and collect them from you for re-use when you enter the Boardroom. That is if they let you into the Boardroom. Last time they said 'you can't use it pre-match' (normal in Conf) because our Directors are eating in there. At half time you're lucky to see a biscuit and post match the fayre was either eaten by their own committee before we could get in there or was put out so late we had all given up and gone into the bar. They had a two tiered pricing system in the bar as well!

No, not my favourite club. The bar steward was the nicest person in the place and the only redeeming feature - and he didn't have many good words to say about the rest. Of course it may have changed now, but one can only speak as one finds.

It looks as if Gordon is happy to remain at Theobalds Lane, at least for the time being:

I see Gordon is featured on the Non League Today Website today:

Cheshunt boss Gordon Boateng has confirmed to nonleaguedaily that the Ambers are very much looking forward to life in the Ryman League Division One North.

Boateng (pictured) considers their switch as being a positive to come out of his side`s demotion from the British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division at the conclusion to the previous campaign.

The Theobalds Lane club under Boateng's leadership looked far better equiped this time around, and the former Harlow Town number two said:

Gordon is a good manager Cheshunt are lucky to have him, he seems to take a lot of stick, especially on these forums, however he is a proven manager who has done well so far in his career, he really deserves a bit more respect, Bitch i agree with you, he has a good football brain, his man management skills are second to none, when i wasn't part of his plans he just sat me down and was totally honest with me, Rhodesy i know you don't really like him but he is a good manager, i have actually been at a few of his sessions and seen how professional he is, i personally think he will turn things around at Cheshunt, Good Luck Gordon
