Leigh RMI

Recommended Posts

Without wishing to sound critical of Andy Ford (who I happen to believe to be the best manager Fleet have ever had), I would like to add my (constructive) thoughts for the Leigh match and the reamaining fixtures.

So far, we have only kept 3 clean sheets from 38 league games.

All wins except Nuneaton have been the result of having to score 2 or more goals. For this reason, I believe we should field an attacking line up for the remaining 4 games on the assumption that we are unlikely to get a dirty 1-0 win.

My line up for Leigh would we thus :

Wilkerson

Lovett Burton Duku Skinner

Bentley McKimm Jackson

Evans

Wilkins Stadhart

Line up: 4-3-1-2

Worth a gamble ????

Although I am not his biggest fan - HOW CAN YOU HAVE AN ATTACKING LINE UP WITHOUT TOSTAO KWASHI??? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Wilkerson

Lovett - Burton - Duku - Skinner

Bentley - McKimm - Jackson

Kwashi - Stadhart - Hatch

I agree, definitely, it was just I heard somewhere?( cant remember where ) that Louie was being given 4 starts in a row to cement his place in the side. Louie for Hatch in your side and i would agree. The worst thing to happen would be to lose an early goal when playing this formation. Che and Tostao will need to be told to defend from the beginning!!

If we are going to pump long diagonal balls into the area like last week we should stick Duku up front with Hatch...at least we might win the ball in the air once in a while.

It seems a shame if the season has to come down to playing "Kevin Keegan" type all out attack or "Howard Wikerson" type all out defence, why can't we go back to 4:4:2 play the ball through the midfield with short passes getting Jacko and Kwashi going down the wings, it worked in October.

Controversial!! I reckon at 'Fleet' we have 2 genuine super subs!! lol!! Tostao and Beast!! They have ability to change a game with a bit of magic!! Now if both of these play we limit our options on the bench!! What about Budge for Hatch and have Beast on with 30mins to go!! sorted!!

Lovett - Wilks - Duku - Skinner

Tostao - Macca - Owen - Jacko

Evans/Budge - Che/Hatch

This is a complete change but losing Benno loses arial threat and ball winning in midfield! Rob is natural replacement for Benno I think? Mind you its not as attacking a formation, but can we afford to be without benno!!!

OK MY FINAL CHOICE - however controversial:

Hatch in midfield based on ball-winning and pace.

Kwashi up front so he can skin the last defender.

Lovett back in as we don't pay for loan players and not play them.

Wilkins back up front as he deserves it.

Wilkerson

Lovett - Burton - Duku - Skinner

Hatch - McKimm - Jackson

Kwashi - Wilkins - Evans

Bench: Stadhart / Budge / Turner / Pennock / Owen

I'm sacked as manager?
