Hornchurch 1 Purfleet 4

 

This was a very disappointing performance against a good, well organised, and very enthusiastic Purfleet side.

OK, we lost key players to the first team squad (Thats the function of the reserves) and there were a number of players unavailable, but there can be NO excuse for our performance last night. We made basic defensive errors for all their goals and we never really threatened their goal all night (we scored from a penalty). Basically we were second best in all departments, and that hurts !!!!

 

We now have to bounce back, we still have a chance of honours in the league, but we must ensure we perform in our remaining five league games.
