I remember when I trained to be a ref about 10-12 years ago (I think you were on the same course at Southwood Cookie after letting your registration lapse) and the guy running it said that spitting is the most despicable thing to do on a pitch. When he was talking about it I recall his face contorting with anger more so than swearing/two footed tackles etc.

Sorry Bazza from Ramsgate but this did make me laugh when I read it.

Topic title "Nutter at Hornchurch"

I quote "A chap abuseing the ref and lino all day calling them all sorts of names FNCs W*****S and every swear word in between".

Now that was aimed at a Hornchurch person but in reality who is or who are the best at doing this kind of thing.Go on have ONE guess!

This behaviour should be cut out of football once & for all,no matter WHO does it.Its unfair, dosent make the officials job any easier & it is downright "cheating". Intimidating the officials in this way has to STOP,at ALL levels of football!.

I know it happens everywhere, but in our league the Wards are the masters at it.Hence the laughter that came with such a comment about an opposing person from a Ramsgate fan..

Look in you own back yard Gazza & get your own house in order first before casting stones. It's alright for your'e guys to do it but not for others eh?

Well it should NOT be alright for ANYONE to do it,or at the least be allowed to get away with it.

Agree to some extent Cookie but maybe Danny should have thought abit before his actions yesterday . If it was my boy or anyone else`s child that was spat at in public then the actions taken by the father are quite understandable . OK i may have gone over the top slightly on slaming the whole club but you have to think how many chances do you have , Danny had one here , he got a chance with the Rams now they should take action on his actions yesterday . I don`t think an appology to anyone will make any differance either Cookie as you said yourself, Thats being seen as being lower than the lowest to do that.Up the Gate .

You have two subjects in one there Andy.

1)Spitting at another person is a definate no-no.Disgusting! The player in question should be spoken to by the club he plays for.I agree entirely.

2)The form of Ramsgate players over the season so far has to be admired(football-wise)& one spitting incident should not overshadow the other players good form. They should not be made accountable for one players senseless stupidy.

That was the point I was trying to make.

I think we are in agreement in the main though.

The Rams have done wonders over there on there resources and if they falter now by dropping points due to losing matches would be terrible but to lose points by having them deducted would be disasterous , im trying to tie the two togther Cookie mate but that will only happen if Hornchurch put in a complaint or someone else complains i surpose . This is when its unfair on a team because one player might ruin it for the rest whoever and whatever the team might be . Up the Gate.

there will be no complaints from us regardng the incident....it was a very important 6 pointer yesterday and not surprisingly.. as the game wore on and we gained a strong ascendency... jim was inciting his players to more and more higher tempo play...in the heat of battle the young player was anxious to get the ball and the incident occured...

the player has apologised to our club officials as have the ball boys father and UM who verbally blasted the player afterwards..

the incident is now closed as far as Hx are concerned..

footie is what it is cookie and all players do daft things in the heat of the moment...I am not saying it was the case yesterday but the ball boys at our place are never in a hurry to hand the ball back when we lead and that can be frustrating...I've lost the plot a few times myself in games...(yes I can remember that far back grin) it happens...

always best to move on but I am somewhat surprised at martin able's blanket denial of the incident who was at least 70 yards away in the other side of the ground when the incident took place...are we really to believe that 150 of our eastside fans who were right on the spot made it all up...?

crazy

Makes me laugh how their club are so desperate to attempt a cover-up! Best way out of it for them is to apologise and move on. Martin Able should hang his head in shame cry

we won't wait around for the club to do that but the player (who was bustled to the coach immediately by MA)...sent his apologies through a member of the ramsgate entourage that MA couldn't delete/lock/ban....

all very disappointing to be honest and very different to the LC match where it was all smiles from jim and co and good fun....

poor losers...?

A few said above about Ramsgates form being fantastic this season, i would agree if we were talking about their home form, but away from home their form is one of the worst in the league, so i don't think their form is that great. Once Staines AFCW play the games in hand and being that do well Ramsgate will probably drop down 7/8th.

I aint going to say too much about the fighting and stuff as i don't know exactly what happened, but all i can say is that Dolton is stupid and really should serve a 3 match ban. Thats another thing i notice, when things don't go Ramsgates way they lose their heads and i think that is partly to do with Wards' actions at times.

Now i will probably get a load of abuse, from people who think Jim Ward is God and to those people you are ignorant.
