lets face some facts here, concord have now won 6 ties in this season's vase, ALL 6 have been home matches and shawbury today were on a same par as apsa or beaumont, how they got so far i dont know.concord are clearly the best footballing side in the ESL but as for making the vase final at wembley they have got to be joking, mark my words in the next round they will be found out.

I would say well done to them but who they have played? lets find out from our almanac grin
LONDON COLNEY 5-1 BOTTOM SOUTH MIDLANDS PREMIER home
OXHEY JETS 3-0 16TH SOUTH MIDLANDS PREMIER home
POTTON UTD 5-0 20TH UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE home
NEWMARKET 7-1 BOTTOM RIDGEONS PREMIER home
SHAWBURY UTD 4-1 6 TH STEP 6 LEAGUE home
It's a reasonable achievement but really the opposition wasn't that great...
having said that, they are an ESL side so let's get behind them and keep carring the flag lads applause asien

Well done Concs...nearly 150 goals this season too. Next round and beyond with sort the wheat from the chaff. The trouble with Step Five is, it has the biggest imbalance in the country in terms of skill, etc.

But hey, this is cup football. I hope they avoid the likes of Truro, Consett and my dark horses Kirkham in the next round.

Good work fellahs and good work Trenks. His match report was well received in the office tonight, even if the fat cvnt negated to mention the first name of the Shawbury scorer.. grin

was at the Hullbridge game today. The all new looking APSA team were very dissapointed to only get the draw.

Dominated the first half creating a number of chances with Hullbridge only having one shot on target which hit the cross-bar in injury time.

Seocnd half was very scrappy with both teams having chances to nick the game, however Apsa scored from a corner near the end, and Hullbridge equalised even later in the game. A fair result, but APSa know that they should have made more of their possession in the first half.

A much changed APSA team with a few of its new players unable to play today were dissapointed not to collect three points after only being beaten by the odd goal in the last two games. But saying that, the APSA goalkeepr had to spring into life and make a couple of late saves.

Sometimes you need a bit of luck with the draw and you have to say you had in aboundance so far...all home matches against bottom sides or even a league below step 5.As Coup said, let's see what you do when you play a decent side that is in the top 4 positions in their league.Anyway we are all behind you biggrininvasion

you need a pair of binoculars..are you sure you was at the game? What about when your gk dropped the ball, with nobody around him and Barrington tapped in?we should have won comfortably by 3 or 4 goals if our players would have converted all the chances we created :)and do me a favour...sort those dug-outs...they looked like Gheddafi tent in the desert! grin
