Back down to earth with a bit of bump with this one.

The first half was scrappy and as such there were few chances. We had much of the possession though and home keeper Wesley Jackman was forced to make a good save from a Chris Moore header after 20 minutes.

The second half was more exciting with both sides coming close to breaking the deadlock. Jamie Southon had a shot kicked off the line in the 53rd minute, Pennant hit the crossbar a minute later and then missed an open goal from a header a little after. Towards the finish we piled on the pressure with Pennant struggling to break out of their own half. We all thought Vinnie John had scored a last gasp winner in injury time when he poked the ball past Jackman from 12 yards, but to everyone's amazement the ball hit the post bounced across goal and span wide of the other post. Pennant defended solidly and, at times, desperately, and they got their reward but either side could have won with a little more luck. In truth though it was one of those games where the ball would not go in no matter what.

Line-up: Wood, Marsden, Kimble, Gooding, Jopson, Moore, McGowan, Southon, Elder (Cripps 57), John, Benstock (Locke 64): Subs not used:- Jones, Lowery, Collier (GK),
