Who did Alan Brazil meet?

On his Talksport Radio breakfast show last week he mentioned that he had recently met a player whose career highlight had been scoring the winning goal for Billericay in The FA Vase final at Wembley.

 

I guess, since the 77 game went to replay at The City Ground, that he was talking about either Geoff Aslett who scored the winner in 76 (1-0) or Freddie Clayden, who technically scored the winner (the 2nd) in 79 (4-1).

 

Wonder who it was.

 

I was also surprised to read on the Soppybox that Brazil had played for the ex-lodgers. Anyone know when?

My guess would be Dave Groom who he played with at Stambridge but i do not know if he scored at Wembley.
