Great news for you Bluenoses, as i hear Peters is a wonderfull player, and will enhance your squad.

But what concerns me is there is still no news about the signing on your Homepage,i would have thought the good news would have been on the main Page as soon as he signed???

best news to me is the principle of getting these guys on 1-2 year contracts;and we are seeing a bit of forward planning.

Play-off winners in 2008/9 it is then.(aswell as FA Trophy winners,FA Cup 5th round and Ryman league cup winners )

i wonder if RT and RP have agreed which position he will play in-full back or right wing.

Welcome RP-trust he will have a great carrer with MFC.
What h needs to do now-like the rest of the players-is play consistently well, help Margate to promotion, get club and himself plenty of positive exposure and get a move to a higher status club about January next year.
Pleny o players have done exactly that -use his time at Margate to re-launch his football career-it worked for Sam Sodge .

It worked for Sam Sodje and for these as well at Margate:

Akpo Sodje, now of Sheffield Wednesday
Terry McFlynn, now of Sydney
Danny Murphy, now of Motherwell
Phil Smith, now of Swindon
Charlie MacDonald, now of Southend

Providing the paperwork gets signed, what a fantastic piece of business by RT. Exciting times for Ryan too. Regular football and an opportunity to impress at a crucial time in his career. Can't wait to see how Ryan progresses with us.

I like Roberto Josephs better, Jeff - both sound like members of the 1970's Brazilian national side, though! On other club websites over the last year or so I've seen Robin Scott, J. Sanders and Dean Standon (last one not too far off at times!). Still looking for Judith Chalmers-Stevens, Michael Jackson and Frank Skinner, though!

Well done Trott for signing Peters. I have to admit i am very surprised at this as i didn't think he would be willing to drop down to this level permanently and i for one will be giving him a warm welcome back today, but when it said in the paper that Peters just wants to play football then it doesn't surprise me.

Stuart Harte on the other hand can sod off, if what was said in the paper is true. I doubt any club will want to sign an unprofessional player like Harte.

Anyway why should we waste our time talking about Harte, when he clearly didn't have time for the club.

Welcome Back Ryan Peters

Interesting the way that the Peters signing is reported in todays non league daily:

....'Has signed a full time deal with margate'.

Boss Robin Trott said 'its great to have him here full time'.

Now i am sure that it is just incorrect journalistic wording that implies that Peters has signed full time (as opposed to a permanent part time contract ); but as its mentioned twice and indeed RT said it was a hard deal; just a small part of me remains wondering whether in fact Peters is genuinely full time

-i doubt it but you never know
