Peters IN - Harte OUT

Ryan Peters

In todays I.O.T.Gazette Trott says he has signed Ryan Peters till the end of next season.

The contract hasn't been signed as the Isle of Thanet Gazette went to press-but it's a done deal!

Trott says "It's all been agreed with Ryan & his agent & we've got him now".

"He's down for the rest of this season & next, which is a hell of a signing for us".

Peters could be in the line-up to face Carshalton on Saturday.

Stuart Harte

Forgotten man Stuart Harte could be on his way out of Margate.

Right back Harte hasn't played since he asked to leave the club in the early weeks of the season.

Work commitments was the explanation given but there were rumours Harte may have had another club lined up & Trott wasn't prepared to let him walk out on his contract to join Ryman Premier League rivals.

Trott said "I think the club are talking about it at the moment,so something might be happening soon"

Well Done RT about the Peters (with support of directorate ) and for RT's handling of Harte.

best news to me is the principle of getting these guys on 1-2 year contracts;and we are seeing a bit of forward planning.

Play-off winners in 2008/9 it is then.(aswell as FA Trophy winners,FA Cup 5th round and Ryman league cup winners )

i wonder if RT and RP have agreed which position he will play in-full back or right wing.

Welcome RP-trust he will have a great carrer with MFC.

What h needs to do now-like the rest of the players-is play consistently well, help Margate to promotion, get club and himself plenty of positive exposure and get a move to a higher status club about January next year.

Pleny o players have done exactly that -use his time at Margate to re-launch his football career-it worked for Sam Sodge .

Great news.

Like to see him and Jimmy jackson try it as full backs for a while. With young Quaine taking over JJ's place.

Agreed Blueblood, just what I was thinking, except maybe Ryan Martin on the wing as first choice if available.
