Tons announce another new signing Clapton last night signed pacey and experianced forward Ricky Defraitas. Ricky has played for Grays Athletic, Aveley, and Eton Manor amongst others and is looking forward to joining the Tons. Ricky said 'Ive been impressed with Claptons revival and was tempted to join earlier in the season, however i feel the time is right for me to join my old coach Neil Day and am looking forward to becoming a regular scorer'.

Yeah I heard about that last night. With the right attitude Ricky is a quality player. Scored alot last pre season and at the beginning of last season before a few problems led to him leaving. But on his day he is a great player and will score 20+ in the ESL.

Hope he does well. Don't beleive the bit about Neil Day though....called him a c**t last time I saw him. grin

To be fair, Ricky never really got much of a chance at Concord last season! Eddie Crace f*ucked him about alot and he never really got a fair crack of the whip! Think he was promised to play alongside BigD but never got a string of games!

Also, If I remember correctly he picked up a knock arounnd a time when his missus had a kid so it was probably a combination of a few things! He always seemed to be at training etc and I personally found Ricky to be a decent lad! biglaugh

On the note of last season Trenks and CRFCBoss....I think you would agree that it woulda been hard for Ricky to settle with the constant influx of different players, Eddie lost the plot! At once stage I remember having Danny Greaves, Ricky DeFreitas and Michael Hart on the bench (3 very decent forwards) then went out and loaned a kid to play up top for a couple of games!?!? confused
