FC Flamingo of Hornchurch does admittedly have a certain appeal, but you need to distinguish between the Chilean Flamingo, of which there are only two records in the county of Essex, and the Greater Flamingo, which has been reported on at least 15 occasions, the closest being at Canvey and Hanningfield.

 

However, to change to that name would also mean a change of colours, as the flamingo is predominantly pink.
