Daish: Loans may be our best bet

So despite assurances from the existing board that they would fund any new signings, prior to the due diligence going through (or hopefully not) and the influx of thousands of pounds of new money the club are still going to rely on loan signings?

It seems to me that the existing board have welcomed the MyFc agreement solely so that they get their invested money back and then disappear from the scene, why else would Daish still feel that he needs to look at loan players and not 'proper' new signings.

Why is it that he is now claiming that he has missed out on a couple of players who have gone elsewhere because of the delay in getting the due dilligence out of the way, when Botley's crew said that they would fund any new signings.

The whole thing 'stinks'. It did from day one and as far as I am concerned it is slowly but surely getting worse.

They only decided/announced that last week. Daish could have missed out on players any time up to then.

EUFC travelling pretty well at the moment anyway.

I would think gi,ven my limited knowledge of the transfer/loan system that there is no need to buy when you can borrow from the higher leagues.

What are the financial repercussions of getting a player on loan?

Buying in a new player or two could have an unsettling effect on what appears to be a successful combination at the moment.

I would also think that EUFC's current form and table position would make it an attractive location for higher league managers and players on a loan basis.

Loans are a very tricky business... Some clubs expect the recipient club to pay wages (which could be significantly higher if the player is from a higher league), loan players can be recalled at very short notice, problems with cup games etc, etc..

One Prem league club recently offered a player on loan on the provision that if he DIDN'T play they would receive £25,000!

Would much prefer to see Fleet 'buy in' the players needed - IF its decided we need anyone!

I should have thought that it is much more important to get the right player/players rather than worry about whether thay are on loan or permanant.

It would be very easy to grab the MyFC money and spend it quickly on some ageing has been who wouldn't add much to the team.

J.P. I think Brian said that if the deal was agreed but the money wasn't available in time for the transfer window the board would make funds available for Liam.....the deal hasn't been agreed yet.

Exactly, leaving him more cash to spend to extend the contracts of the players who he wants to keep at the Club beyond the end of this season.

Come on JP either get behind the Club or ship out ! Your constant whingeing is getting so so boring

In what way is it a con though? I can understand if you hate the idea, think picking the team is stupid (you may have a fair few in agreement there), deplore the idea of someone in Ecuador deciding on decisions in our club... but where's the con? The Fleet's debts will disappear, better players will be put on contracts, we don't slip back to the Ryman.

Yeah, it may implode in two years, but at least the debts have gone. I don't even begrudge some bloke trousering an admin fee (if that's where you see the con) if the Fleet are better off and on a financial even keel for the time being.

I can see through this MyFC con! Therefore I will continue to voice my opinion whether you, or anyone else for that matter like it or not.
