They think we have it bad.

My old home town team "Leek Town"( they are in the Uni bond Premier. they also once made it to the Conference) have only managed one match at home since the 27th of October. "Leek" as you can imagine are really struggling financially(last season they beat a winding up order). They started the season with Veteran manager Paul(the legend) Ogden in charge, until illness forced his retirement. Then his replacement was head hunted by a bigger club. Paul got up off his sick bed to act as caretaker manager. One of the players took on the job and Paul slipped back into retirement. This week After another home match postponement Paul has again come out of retirement to help the player, who is finding the going tough. Oggie in his spare retirement time also travels the country scouting for Crewe Alexander.

Leek is a town built on the hills surrounded by moors on the west side of the pennines. The river Churnet flows through the narrow valley. The pitch is on the valley floor and the sub structure is made up of a type of boulder clay which will not allow drainage to any sense in the winter months.

Good luck Leek, I think you need it.
