Is there any major team news ahead of tonights game? i.e. Dobinson, Gregory??????????

 

I would like to see us line up with the same team as Saturday, however I would replace Berquez with Greggors (if available) or if not then with Brayley. I know Berquez has netted a few times, and can prove a useful sub if we need a goal, but I do not think he is anywhere near good enough for a club in our position. The most annoying part of his game is the way he shouts for every ball in the air and then backs away from challenging, I also feel he offers Boylan very little support. (Just my personal view, sorry Ollie fans!!!!)

Ollie has to start cos i think that we play football on the ground when he plays and not greggers,we tend to knock the ball long for his flick ons.U could never change a team after that sort of performance only if some 1 got injured that is.

Agree you shouldn't change a team after a win and agree we don't play long balls so much without Greggors in the team. However I find watching Berquez very frustrating and it looks like one or two of his team mates feel this way playing alongside him. How about giving Brayley another go?????

Said it before ... Brayley has got immense talent, Berquez might prove a little more effective depending on the size / strength of the Billericay defence. Apart from that we haven't topped Saturday's performance. A continuation would seem the best option. Would also like to see Michael Lee given a game, he could certainly add some pace at a later stage of the game. Some more of the Yellow Army singing like Saturday will be necessary as well.

I reckon Berquez proved his critics wrong tonight. One of four contenders for Man of the Match in my opinion.

Too right Matt!, Berquez was superb tonight. I've never doubted him but tonight he proved his critics wrong. J.K was excellent once again, Boylan and Minton different class. It could have been eight or nine tonight, Billericay are a team with severe problems. A goal after 27 seconds, that beats Saturday's efforts. If you're gonna do that lads, kick off at the car park end please!

Shame about the crowd tonight. Billericay's always usually guarantees a 1000 plus crowd but tonight there can't have been more than about 500. 'Ricay bought about 30/40 supporters whilst most of our lot decided to stay at home and watch Real Madrid/Man U. I'll expect they'll all be out in force next week, glory hunters!, yes Canvey are the team in yellow and if anybody in a yellow shirt asks me who that lively number 10 playing for us is, i'll flipping punch them!!

You're flipping joking!! that is diabolical, that is our worst league crowd of the season and for normally our biggest game of the season. Honestly I don't know why I bother, I walked tonight because everyone said the car park would be full, I might as well have driven down!!

 

That is appalling! If people would rather watch a champions league game than go and watch a successful local side then they should just sod off!!

Sorry, but this is the way I feel!

Have to agree that Berquez had a good game and answered a few of my criticisms about him. Though I do still feel he is perhaps a little bit light weight and feel he would be best suited to a role of substitute/third choice striker. I would like to see us sign a good strong forward in the summer, however how many forwards are there at this level who are strong, have pace, can compete in the air and can finish??????????????

As long as Berquez keeps scoring I can't see Greggors getting back in the team. As for Brayley, his last ten minute slot is about right I feel, as he can make an impact against tired legs. I hope he doesn't change the team too much for next year, maybe just a couple of signings, as the team has done well since it has settled.
