No you won't. It's just bitten the dust, joing the games at Grays and Harlow that I was also considering going to. At this rate, I may end up at Millwall as they seem to be the only club confident enough not to even have a pitch inspection. Hoping to find somewhere closer to home, though.

Do you still go to Canvey Island games or have you knocked that on the head too, how's Mark by the way.

Fine thanks, Paula. I see you have a game at Concord in a couple of weeks time. Its on my shortlist of potential games that night - way ahead of the England match!

Date has now changed to Tues 5th Feb (KO 7.45). Be nice if you could still make it. Be good to see you again. Must be my turn to get the drinks in

Halifax v Bishop's Stortford has also sunk without trace under a flood of despair. My beano bus drunken debauchery has thus been postponed bawling

Anyway, back to more pressing matters whilst TSF tries to work out who hit whom with what in the Library.

The two threads (yes THOSE threads) that were an intrinsic part of the Great Treaty of Spartania have been seen lurking in the underworld where gravediggers go about their gruesome task with a hop and a skip and no little merryment at the reading of all the other diatribes of nonsense that have been banished to that unholy place.

The trouble is that their retrieval is a complicated business and one that requires Sir Ian of Fansfocusville to lend a hand. Said hand lending has been requested and we can only hope that a speedy promulgation will negate the need for a high profile Security Council resolution.

A re-run of the Kenyan Presidential election....ooops sorry, the Spartania 'should I go or should I stay election' is a thing that none of us want repeated (at least for a few weeks), and so we hope that Sir Ian's hand lending will resolve the matter once and for all. Please bring all patience to bear during these turbulent times and gawd bless us one and all.

Muchos grazias penis. (That's Spanish for ta very much c0ck)

Bravo! Generalissimo Ian (for he has been promoted with full honours this very day) has responded within 10 minutes of receiving Lord Wader's humble request (no, he is not my son and I had nothing to do with the Sith).

I can therefore reveal that the elgin threads have been returned to their motherland (although whether righful place is very much in doubt). They have been locked for safe keeping and so that Baron Von Kentish of Bacon & Rollmop cannot run off with them in the middle of the night.

Huzzah! The Treaty of Spartania lives!
