Bitch - Yes I couldn't agree more and I think he is already coming around albeit slowly. He has never indicated which Club he follows which concerns me slightly, I doubt he knows anything about the SSML if the truth be known

if the 16.50 from euston was running three minutes late at approx 17.00 he must be about seven minutes train travel from Euston in the birmingham direction.

now if we can find out which loco was pulling the 16.50 we could get a better idea of how quickly it would be travelling and thereby plot the approximate distance from euston.

next sunday I could go to euston and catch the 16.50 and then after that distance had been travelled I could pull the communication cord, and look out for a likely residence that may accomodate hordes. not a lot of people, but hordes the poster.
sorry that wasnt very clear.

how uncle urchin could say he was boring I dont know anyone who takes a keen interest in the railway industry is alright by me.

speaking to my contact on the railway it was late because
the driver had forgot his rail pass and even though he was
wearing his uniform a rhodes like gateman refused him entry
till he could be identified
i will be looking out to see if he has made up the lost time
on the return journey brwn_md_wht

TheSpursFan - You may be getting Euston mixed up with Kings Cross as roughly seven minutes out of Kings Cross is Finsbury Park which is not far from me. You're right though that Hordes gave the game away as to the area he lives as he wouldn't have been able to make something like that up, at a guess I'd say it was between Queens Park and Harrow and Wealdstone.

Wouldn't it be better to pull the emergency cord rather than the communication cord? (What is a communication cord, anyway?). And surely you would need to pull the cord before that distance had been travelled as you would need to take into account the train's braking time in accordance with its relative speed at the time the cord was operated?

i am very glad you brought that up football man.

the communication cord is a cord that allows you to communicate with the train driver. I dont know how it works but you smash a piece of glass with the heel of your shoe and a large anchor comes off the back of the train

as the trains usual braking system is not used it may take several trial runs to get this timed right.

hordes could tell us where the window is out of which he was looking to save some bother.

most windows are in walls.

I believe the train arrived at birmingham on time , so well done the driver there.

It will be interesting to hear from hordes if it is on time on its return journey and if the driver is returning with it. wader if the train driver went to birmingham and then drove his car back, how did his car get there.

did he drive it there this morning then take the train back to work?

I sometimes think you lot live in another world.

Everyone knows that particular service is driven by the Hoff's brother who bought Kit off him some years ago just for this purpose. The car takes itself to Birmingham you fool!

rhodes...your powers of deduction remind me of the great

Peter Sellars in those superb pink panther films, although

you probably prefer to be compared to Ace Ventura

with another clue do you think you will be able to

narrow down the area?

Obviously he has to train drive in disguise. People who travel by train don't just collect engine numbers you know.

It's a well known fact that Autograph Books are the biggest seller in any mainline station branch of WH Smiths.
