One home league match played on a Saturday in four months is ridiculous.

 

You can understand why Torquay would refuse to move the game what I can't understand is why Sultana want to televise us playing Crawley.

I cant understabd why our game vs crawley has moved to be honest.

 

If what this report says is true then the televised matches only benefit the away team financially (in the case of torquay) so what a b****x tv deal

Hence the huge gulf between Prem League and everyone else. Why do you expect it to be any different at this level?

I think that Torquay are playing Weymouth on the 12th February and this is also being televised by Satanta. One solution would be to keep our game at Crawley on the 12th and televise it and switch the Torquay/Weymouth game to the 14th and then play our game at Torquay on Saturday 16th as planned. It may still only mean one clear day between Torquay's fixtures instead of ours, but they will have home advantage, not have to play two away games in quick succession and still retain a rare Saturday home league game. It's not ideal, but if Club's agree to be televised then they have unfortunately to deal with the consequences. The convenience to supporter's, of course, is always the last consideration of the Club's involved.
