Giuliano Grazioli

Recommended Posts

Taken from the Barnet website :-

"Giuliano Grazioli, who scored 55 goals in 82 games in his first two seasons at Underhill after arriving on a free transfer from Bristol Rovers in 2003, has been circularised (sounds painful) as being available on a free transfer"

Proven goalscorer at BSP level, lets start a vote .......

(i)Should we sign him?

(ii)How much should we offer?

(iii)Maximum bid up to £20,000?

Oops too late he's probably already signed for somebody else!

(i) No, he is 33.
(ii) Nothing he is available on a free transfer and he is too old.
(iii) Why would anyone bid £20,000 when Barnet have already said you can have him for nothing?

OK so he scored a lot of goals in his first two seasons when he was at his peak, since turning thirty he hasn't done quite so well.
This season he has scored 0 goals, last season he scored 2 goals and he season before that he scored 8 goals.

If we have money for a striker we should spend it on a quality youngster who can score goals for us now and then get sold on for a fat profit to finance his own replacement not on a has been who may well retire in May.

I'm intrigued by the reference to 'we' in your post.

Based on your past postings one could be excused for thinking that you wanted nothing more to do with the Club because of the involvement of MyFC.

Yawn!!!!

I just got home and read that and I can't believe your arrogance...our milkman stays out later than you before starting his.......oh alright that was blx.
I am an old man and not capable allowed to stay out late anymore frown

Mind you:

When we where young we used to stay out for 25 hours a day every night and nightclub owners used to pay us for priveledge of having us throw up just outside their toilets...try telling that to the kids of today and they won't believe you.

One striker worth looking at is a guy called George O'Callaghan. At Ipswich Town but the talk is that he is on his way back to Cork City. If EUFC could bring him in until the end of the season and then let him go back to Ireland for the summer season here, I think he would do a good job. Would be capable of scoring a lot of goals at conference level.

Seen much BSP footy then , Dom ?

Some - League of Ireland would be a comparable level - maybe a little better and O'Callaghan was one of the best at that level.

Slip of the tongue.

Easy done after supporting the club for 44 years or so.

Whatever my position, doesn't stop me coming on here and posting, or is that against the rules of the MyFc thought-police?

Not at all, contrary to what you may think I am not a member of MyFC. I prefer to help the Club in other ways. Call me naive if you like but I believe the current directors would not do anything to jeopardise the Club. Sometimes change is needed even though the easier option may be to stick with the status quo.

However, as none of us possess a crystal ball only time will tell.
