I thought football was a mans game

then you see the Spurs team wearing gloves for their match against Arsenal's 3rd team tonight. What next scarves and a duffel coat....what poofs

Gloves are for the overseas players unuse to British weather whilst playing in a British winter and if Lennon thinks he needs them he should consider his England future.

Johnny Foreigner has bought nothing new to the game and the sooner the restrictions on them comes in the better

Absolutely agree about the wearing of gloves - players shouldn't be standing still long enough to get cold anyway.

While I'm on the subject, I don't particularly care for the kit that goalkeepers wear nowadays either - you wouldn't have seen Bert Williams, Gil Merrick or Peter Peters wearing that stuff. And as for wearing tracksuit bottoms, they were only supposed to be worn when you were playing on a frozen bumpy No.3 pitch at Garlinge in January or February and you were likely to slip and injure yourselves. At least that's what I was always told.

The choreographed goal celebrations wind me up as well, no matter from what team. If we are going to have such things let's have a proper dance troup and a band do it professionally. Next thing will be players injuring themselves celebrating a goal.

And I am not very enthusiastic about the cuddle in the circle before the match either.

Apart from that its all great!

Not really - by the way, when I edited the earlier post it took me ages to rub the mistake out and write it in again!
