Re: Humebug

With the expected development and upward movement of the club I would have expected some imagination for the new name. A name in line with future expectations, a name that reflects the accessability to mainland Europe- how about Inter Ebbsfleet !

or would that be a bit to European for the average Englishmen

Bah, Humbug

The main reasons given were due to the historical connection and not wanting to upset the existing fans.

Of course it's a wind up, one post...joined yesterday...! Don't worry nobody like that is going to be involved with this project.

Damn, ya sussed me, I trolled... but with (half) a good reason.

So MYFC on the shirt is def a bad thing - how about EA Sports? They already sponsor MYFC and so could be considered as the enemy... How about if the deal for MYFC AND Ebbsfleet was 500k a year? Would you really turn down half a million squids just cos it was MYFC backed? Knowing it could make the difference between Blue Square or Div 2? Knowing that once you had a major company on board, others would be tempted to follow? Especially seeing as Ebbsfleet will be seen as the 'novelty' factor once promoted?

Well?

But this is completely different from your original post/troll. Up there you spoke of changing our name again. Now you're merely saying would we be happy to put so and so on the shirts. Personally, I couldn't care less whose logo was on the shirt - MyFC, EA or the Dog and Duck. If they stump up the cash for sponsorship, then they're entitled to their name on the shirts - just the same as Shephered Neame, Reporter, Gladwish, Austrian and Eurostar down the years.

There! its gone full circle.

Back to the MyFC members (I don't know or care for that matter whether you are a member or not ST) thinking that they are playing a reality version of a computer game.

Hirsty has probably retired from this forum but I'm not sure he'd stop going to watch "The Fleet". Perhaps he's psyching himself up for the big game at the end of the month when the bigger team from North Kent come down.
