Should be a good game. We played very well in the Trophy game but Brentwood got their revenge in the league so a tough one to call.

I thought as much because unless Brentwood have lost all their players the result could not be right.

I've heard that as well. At the start of last season, Wivenhoe were splashing the cash in signing players but one of their main backers pulled out towards the end of last season and they lost alot of their better players

The two seasons before we went into Ryman Division one North, they finished in the play off positions.

their manager has just signed a contract until 2010 and is whacking people on contracts left right and centre. i think mr carter is sticking in some dough himself maybe. wivenhoe are a completely different prospect to what they were beginning of the season.

Where is Greggs now ? There's no mention of him on the Wivenhoe squad page. And sticking his name into Google cites in multiple places that his current club is....Canvey Island. But you're right, it would be good to have him back at The Lane, his influences would be a real asset.

I did hear he has retired from playing and was involved with a non-league club local to him.
