Just looked at the Southend Side that they fielded....think it`s disrespectful to other sides in the competition by fielding so many kids!

Gary Hooper was the only first team fringe player who featured and Liptak and Ademeno are regular reserve players!

Sureley recently underused players Like Matt Harrold, Darryl Flahavan, Stevie Hammell, Garry Richards and Frank Moussa could have done with a run out and in return make the event more of a memory for the lesser opposition involved!

Well done to Concord though and well done One Breast on his goal!

Why is it disrespectful?

Arsenal play their kids in the Carling Cup and do well, so I guess Tilson feels his kids are capable of winning the Senior Cup.

they paid 50k for liptak and 20-30k for Hooper , Ademeno is pro , the nunmber 8 has been on trial at Man Utd and Liverpool this season , the right winger plays for Scotland under 19's . We gave them a proper run for their money and for the last 5 minutes they were holding the ball in the corner at every oportunity which is a compliment to us .

yer that was great banter. hooper and ademeno got bossed. hooper was lem first 10 and then he didnt fancy it any more and went quiet. ademeno been on loan at welling im led to believe as well so he has experience.

Adameno was on loan at Bishops Stortford last season scoring goals for fun!

Hornchurch and former Canvey midfielder Richard Halle was also there.

Concord were unlucky not to take the game to extra time. Southend looked good for the first 10 to 15 minutes but after that struggled to create too many decent opportunities. Hooper and Ademeno linked up well in the opening 20 minutes but faded after that.

Good crowd as well. Must have been around 300 there.

Thats My opinion Shi_tbreak!!

At the start of the season, Everyone is was excited by the fact that Southend United and Colchester United were back in the Essex Senior Cup!

"Happy days, imagine facing a few fringe players and few from injury"

"A forward Scoring Past Darryl Flahaven.......a Center Back beating Teddy Sherringham in the air who is returning from injury. Imagine a Center Midfielder crunching Tommy Black or Luke Guttrdige.....etc etc"

I liesteined to the draw after Manor beat Stansted and I personally would have had a hard-on for a full year if Manor drew Southend but sadly it was Bowers who got the tie!

When I saw the line ups I was`nt too pi$$ed off! At the end of the day 8 kids who probably wont make it, is`nt exactly something to tell the kids is it! I mean Taylor Lang played that standard 2 years back and struggled to get in at Wakering and Concord this year (No Offence as I like Taz)!

I would be wounded if I faced Gary Hooper, rarely makes the first XI bench and a fella who could`nt get a game on loan at Stevenage!

Same as Colchester (Scum, Scum, Scum)...they lost 3-2 to Stanway and fielded barely 3 reserve players!

When I was younger...I used to watch Southend in the Senior Cup and they fielded strong sides! I remeber the likes of David Whyte, Scott Houghton, Adrian Clarke, Mel Capleton, Jimmy Corbett all playing! Thats Exciting!!

Well Done to Concord though, they were unlucky on what I have read! And of course, I still would have loved to have faced a Southend XI infront of 300 fans, but its a shame that a couple of bigger names did`nt play!

On the Disrespectful side.....What good does fileding a team of kids do Southend! Surely, Harrold, Black, Moussa, Flahavan or Collis, Richards, Hammell could have all done with a run out!
