some questions

Is it worth me coming to the meeting on Thursday or will a full report be posted onto the website?

If we don't get promoted will Slough be playing in the north or south section next season?

Can we groundshare with Lewes? They have a nice new stand and its only a bus ride away from my house.

North or South isn't the issue surely? We need to be in a league with no teams in Essex.

Not sure Lewes is such a good idea as we have a pants record there. Personally Macclesfield would be better(& not just because it's only half an hour away from me) as we always did well there even when Roberts was in charge.

Realistically I think we are going to struggle wherever we go, as clubs that have left home without a definite plan to return to a home town ground have all done so.

Admitedly a future at Wexham under the current circumstances is far from ideal, especially as Thorne won't give us the lease, but a nomadic existence watching support & money trickle away doesn't seem to be the answer.

Sorry, I've got my pessimistic head on this weekend.

Cheers, Roger

leaving Hampton out of the equation, if we were to share with Windsor next season then would we have to play in South anyway (because Windsor is part of the Ryman South setup)?

Are you certain that its us who transfers. The uxbridge ground must be a contender. Does it go on ground placing, or the team's home town (Slough is more southerly than Uxbridge itself, but the Uxbridge ground is nearly in West Drayton)

Just a quick thought, but can`t we organise a song for our players to run out to before the game?! Just to gee them up a bit more! Obviously Liverpool have youll never walk alone, etc any ideas what we could run out to?

To Warren....BRIGHTON Rebel....

I will try to keep everyone update on the Thursday Meeting and give my thought's ........ and views of where we are going...

Warren I don't think this meeting will highlight too many things at the moment , the main questions will be answered after the 16th June , when the council have a chance to sort things out one way or another....

talking about ridiculous groundsharing ideas, why not sutton coldfield town, hednesford, or maybe the bestcot, nice and cosy just off the M6. won't matter though, because i'm coming back from the industrial gangsters paradise that is birmingham and coming back to slough in the summer to spend all my money going to wherever the hell we end up if we don't die first

Chris,

Thanks for the note to Brighton Rebel about the meeting on the 10th. I suspect a lot of people may be disappointed in what you suggest, that the meeting will not be able to address too many of the issues. Also what is this about the Council and a meeting in June - what is likely to happen then? Who is involved and what can be done to influence anybody beforehand?

It seems as if everytime we see a door open it is only to find there is yet another locked door behind it. I am sure it must be frustrating for the Supporters Club to keep finding this, as it is for the fans who just try to keep up with what is going on via the website or the local press. Does anybody really know what is going to happen? Or will we have to wait until a week before next season begins to find out if we have a club, where they will be playing and in what league!? This seems quite bizarre!

I second that ! Also living near Lewes it would be an excellent idea ! At least that way there would be a decent rebels in Sussex ! Worthing also carry the Rebels nickname but are not worthy of it !

I too live in sunny Sussex near Haywards Heath. A groundshare with Crawley Town would be ideal especially as I don't finish work on a Saturday until 1.05 and then have to tank it round the M25.

and here's me thinking that I'm in exile in Maidenhead

I would have thought that anywhere near to the nucleus of the fans ( inspite of the above e-mails , it must be Slough) would be favourable

Have all of the local clubs been sounded out ( by local , Maidenhead , WIndsor , Burnham , Beaconsfield , Bracknell) . Basically anywhere easier by local transport - Uxbridge maybe neared , but moving anywhere but east would open more public transport opportunities.
