A good result in theory which in practice actually does us no favours at all. Why keep a player on the bench who has scored 29 goals this season, especially in a must win game?

The only good things to come out of today's two-goal come back are it has messed up Harlow's promotion chances and our equaliser shut the six gobby Harlow fans up who, as a result of too much lager and their Essex upbringing, believe they support Arlow.

Started with Hodge and Sammy up front which produced absolutely nothing in the first half. Brought Byron and Boot on for Ryan Williams and Hodge and within a few minutes Bubb had scored. We looked a completely different team with Boot on and could/should have won it.

I've nothing against Hodgy but Sammy/Tony have scored almost fifty goals between them so far. Who knows what goes on in the mind of Steve Browne. I suspect very little.

Ian's comments just about sum it up.It may be early days, but Sammy and Ian did not form any sort of partnership.

2 pieces of poor defending and we were 2-0 down. After 60 minutes of sunbathing (ground is a nice suntrap, but our play was woefull), a double substitution, Boot and Bubb on for Hodges and Williams, and it was a different game.Ricky Browne ( I think) got himself sent off in injury time for kicking an opponent.

Too little too late----Why didn't Boot and Winstone start together? Whatever the reason, the side showed little spirit and fewer ideas until the substitutions---very disappointing as if the players couldn't motivate themselves for this game, which seemed to be the case, they shouldn't be in the side---or is it that one or two players aside, we have a very ordinary squad?

Its a very uphill task from now on, and

I feel that we need to play with all three of Hodges, Boot and Winston. Draws do us no good anymore, we need to get wins. The last seven games are all winnable but can we win 7 in a row. I wish I could say with confidence YES but I'm really not so sure. Just been on Hornchurch's sight to see their fixtures. For some reason they only have six more listed which all look relatively easy, even though four are away. There most difficult fixture (the one for some reason missing on the list on their site) is Marlow, who have a habit of taking points off the top sides (fortunately except us!). Uxbridge have to come to us and go to Marlow in their next two matches, so as well as them having already played a game more than us this is a great chance to try and get back in front of them. It seems that Marlow could still have a big say in the race for promotion (Hemel also visit them soon) but Hemel's next two games are both home games against lowly opposition.

Basically all that this rambling has got to is the fact that although we are falling adrift anything can still happen. There summed it up briefly for anybody who can't be bothered to read the piles of trash above.

Cheers.

The flaw in your plan as I see it Radders is that whilst you are correct in assuming that others will drop points you also assume that we can win our remaining games.

And, as some of them are away from home, I'd rule out any chance of maximum points given our propensity for giving crap teams an early goal or two head start which is what we've done in the last three.

Shame about todays result- crap defending early on, but when the subs were made there was only one team in it. Support was not that good today although. Mark, Graham, Russ, BFR and Myself and a few others sang along! Come on u Rebels! (Dom went missing )

Me and David were shouting by our selves on the grass verge, you dont get many sun bathing oppertunities in this country! I thought it was a bit sad that quite a few fans said they would only bother turning up at wivenhoe if we won on saturday,i thought you were supposed to support your team Win Loose or Draw,Come on Rebels the team need our support, make an extra effort to come on tuesday,i think we can still do it shame others dont

2-2 a fair result I thought. Apologies for the appalling view from the far terrace. It ain't pretty.

Wivenhoe have good cover at both ends. Not a bad little ground on the whole, but is badly in need of a lick of paint and some replacement seating!

I thought we showed more invention in the 1st half, but you had the majority of the 2nd. I can't recall if we had the wind in the first half and you the second?

Ref the sending off, I thought it was a bit harsh. Your player showed intent, but our player did go down like he'd been shot.

A point does neither of us any good and I think Hornchurch, looking at their remining games, should pull away now.

Lets hope not, but Hornchurch have a lot of away games whereas we have more home games. Given our generally excellent home record we can still catch them up and fight them all the way.

Personally I think Browne had to go off, he kicked the bloke right in front of the ref and when you do that there is only really one outcome. A very poor and stupid thing to do by, what many would say, is a very poor player.
