Yellow Army (got you're name right this time <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ) you can't even begin to comprehend the fascination I have with Oasis-they are my favourite group, I've been a fan since I was about 9 when Def. Maybe came out(I was the only girl in my class to like that sort of music-the rest of them still loved East 17 and Take That!). I've got everyone of their cds, including bootlegs, imports, box sets, limited edition vinyl versions. Before I had my room re-decorated I counted how many posters I had of them (don't know why!), and it was over 200 all over my ceiling, walls, door and even the cupboards. You could go up to any of my friends and ask them who my fave band is and without hesitation they will say 'Oasis'! Basically, I'm obsessed!

I was just about to ask you when you got into Oasis.

I was still at school when Def. Maybe was released so obviously you were still at Primary school.

I'm just as obsessed as you. I'm probably the only person who thinks Be Here Now and Standing on the Shoulder.. were great albums.

 

Have seen them twice. At Wembley in 2000 and at Finsbury Park last year, absolutely tremendous gigs.

Oh my god! They are the same gigs I went to? I went on the first night at Wembley and the last night at Finsbury.

 

I think BHN and SOTSOG are great albums. I don't think they measure up to the first two albums, but then I don't think Oasis will ever be able to live up to them. Also, as someone said on here once, a lot of bands starting out would love to make records as good as those two. Unfortunately, it's now 'cool' to hate those albums and to diss Oasis so people's views are clouded by popular opinion. Some people just can't think for themselves!
