What I found more worrying was the reporter in the NLP for the Kettering game claiming that we are virtually assured of our place in the Conference next season. Given how close it is at the bottom now (r.e. Daz's previous thread) I wish I had the same confidence.

 

To be honest, a draw wasn't so bad considering that we had to play about an hour of football without one of our star men. Admittedly, their equaliser was well taken. Bentley's looming suspension is also a great worry, and will doubtless re-ignite the debate about Tostao's role in the team.

 

P.S. A very well-taken goal by Louie yesterday. I have been critical of him in the past, but I was more than happy to be proved wrong on this occasion.

a looming 3 match ban is definately not what we need. something which some might consider is rob owen on the right?? i remember his performance there at woking away was excellent

It sounded almost certain that Benno/ the club are going to obtain a copy of the match video and put in an appeal against the Red Card.

 

Obviously cant be certain the video will verify the case, but hopefully it will, and the Ref will agree to review his decision/ the FA will rescind the card.

I dont think it was a sending off, but the positiong of the camera man will probably not help Benno's appeal.

This is rather typical of some of the 'fantasy match reports' in the NLP, it seems many are supplied by someone from the home club so they tend to be more than a little bit biased!
