Moon Surfer, the Chairman's name is ROD Moore not Ronnie.(Ronnie Moore is the manager of Rotherham)

In reply to MoBrien almost everything you wrote was critical and not at all positive going on about how the new stadium will be mostly empty.

Good to see another "true" Canvey supporter. Mo Brien is obviously like a lot of other people who have jumped on the bandwagon as Canvey have been doing well in the League and FA cup the last few years.

As regards Chief Executive salary, read the last set of statutory accounts for the company (available to all shareholders and at Companies House). Company Law requires disclosure of Directors salaries and you will see that NO DIRECTORS have drawn a penny from the Club.

As regards shareholders, I am sure that Rod Moore would be delighted if fans would put a fraction of the financial and physical resources into the Club as he has.

You also need to be aware that FA rules state that on incorporation of a football club, all outstanding debts of the previous members club have to be honoured (including PAYE and National Insurance on players wages) by the succeeding limited company.

As regards players leaving, if their contracts finish at the end of the season what is the point of keeping them if they are offered better by another Club. Also if they are going to walk for nothing at the end of the season why not try to get something now.

Finally, all criticism seems to be aimed at Chairman, Gary Calder and management staff but not at the players. If well paid players had motivated themselves enough when we had a golden opportunity of reaching the first round of the FA Cup, the extra Revenue generated would have covered the budget. If we had beaten Havant and Waterlooville in the Cup(s) it is unlikely that there would have been so much vicious criticism on this Forum.

True Blue

First it was the fans fault, now the players. The only constant over the past 4 years is the Chairman and his 5 year contracted manager. The buck stops at the top.

All football clubs do their business on an officially accounted for non cash basis, so I'm sure you're spot on about Directors pay. By the way I'll ride the Grand National winner tomorrow.

True Blue your club interest me greatly as I hate to see solid potential of any kind go to waste

Your potential for foot traffic gate money is as good as any club in Essex

You have solid potential for sponsorship to the extent that you managed to fight off offers from positive successful men prepared to put money into the club and take up executive roles for the club

So is that potential being mis-managed per season, are you just unlucky? or is there really no place for a successful BTFC despite the perceived potential

You're right about the debt situation. A whisper has it that private investigators are identifying who's owed what. Apparently someone wants to buy out the debts with a view to bringing a winding up order against the club.

Something needs to be done soon otherwise Bedford could be the last game.

Zorro and the rest of you have missed a couple of important points.

The first is the role played in the establishment of the Moore regime by cuddly Jim Hall. He has been involved with Club for about the same time as me (40plus years),and it was he that did the jiggery pokery to enable Moore to take control four years ago. As an ex Bank Manager I guess he'll be real proud of what he did, particularly the crisis finces that are in place right now.

The second point is the silence about why John Stacey left the Club. In the past John put substantial sums of money in and it would be interesting to know if the fact that he has pulled out has lead to the present situation.

Come on Jim and Rod, make a clean breast of it or is Jim now trying to wash his hands of the whole thing.

To the Nameless Wonder

What the hell have you been smoking ? If you know that club is about to be wound up then give us some FACTS not general statements. I don't mind you writing anonymously on this site, like I do for personal reasons, but it's the likes of you that is causing a lot of trouble with general comments with no truths behind them. Would you do the Chairman's job at the club ? Were supporting the club at Hendon last night ? Have yo ever been to a BTFC game ? What have you done for the club this season ?

If you cannot do something constructive for the club why don't you p*ss off.

To stop all this speculation why doesnt the chairman make a statement, this would stop all this silly talk on here, is there something to hide ? I read somewhere on this site that the club are now in a healthy financial position for not only the rest of the season but also next, so what is there to hide ? lets get on with it STATEMENT NOW.

There's no sense in losing yer rag! All the questions and issues raised on this site are valid and vital to the Club's future. These points aren't being raised to knock the Club or even the people running it. If the regime were doing a good job, none of this would be occurring.

The way things are going there is a real chance BTFC will go under. Only the owners can provide true answers to the questions, and only the owners can take the necessary action to put things right. The rest of us are totally powerless and that explains why complaints are being voiced thru this forum and why genuine supporters like you are so frustrated that all these problems are being aired in the way they are. This was never a problem when we were a membership club.

Go to the meetings with the Chairman and see if he will deal with these questions on those occasions. HE WILL NOT..and that is why this unsatisfactory dialogue is taking place.

Every question and issue that has been raised is meaningful and valid. The 64 thousand question is whether the Moore regime have the will or the intention to do the necessary.

By the way, I've missed only one home game this season.

Gazza

You're a nice, not unintelligent guy.....but your judgement is lacking. There are people out there who support the comments against Moore 110%. They were putting time money and effort to make BTFC famous among non league outfits when you were in nappies. Equally those people know a lot more about the Moore/Hall duo than you can possibly imagine. These comments are not made to destroy the Club but to point out the dangers ahead if Moore continues his dynastic reign. Putting names to these comments would invite at best intimidation, at worst the heavy mob. If you don't accept this why don't you make a list of all the difficult questions and issues raised on this site over the past couple of weeks and put them to the Chairman personally. I promise you that if you do this, and if you get meaningful answers, you will stop the diatribe overnight.

My prediction is that you can't do this and if that proves to be the case why don't you start to take a wider view of the motives of the Critics. By the way, how many of these questions were answered by Moore in the press last week (as was promised).
