Question for the Stattos?

Michael Black came on as a sub for us yesterday. How long has it been since his last appearance for Ricay and have their been any longer gaps between appearances than his? Go on that Simes!!

 

I thought Blackie did well when he came on yesterday, if he can get his head down and commit himself to the club he could be a useful player to have around.

May '04 is my guess.

 

I'm sure some player probably had a longer gap, starting his career with us and then returning near the end. Can't think of any off the top of my head. Just remembered Kirk Game, must of been a big gap.

 

I remember Julian Charles playing a few games for us under John Kendall and then Gary Calder signing him a few years later, did nothing both times, that must of been something like 4-5 years in between.

Black's last appearance in a Billericay shirt was the 5-4 win at Northwood that ended the 03/04 season when he came on as a sub for Darrell Aziz.

 

Couldn't say who had the longest gap, but a certain J Broom would almost certainly have had the record had he come on in the game at Heybridge earlier this season!

How about Andy Jones? Played under Edinburgh in 03/04, having played in the early 90s (I think)

Danny Westwood played for Town during i think the 73/74 season and left for Queens Park Rangers at the end of the season. He then went to Gillingham for many seasons before returning to Town in the early 80's but cant remember what season. I also seem to remember Ricky Mcqueen making a comeback after many seasons away as well.
