January Transfer Window

How does it work?

Is there a player 'marketplace' or is it up to buyers to seek out players and make offers and vice versa for sellers?

How do players who are not contracted or are from overseas get noticed?

If you put a player out on loan can you get him back before the loan period expires?

Appears to be a lot of action in the transfer market early in January...is it a matter of first in best served?

Are you sick of me asking questions?

PS Remote chance I might make cit there for Waltham Forest game 19th April.

Mick

I don't think the January Transfer window applies at non league level. In the Ryman league you have to make a 7 day approach for a player of another club. The player and his club are informed of the official approach, and no contact can then be made with the player for 7 days. After than time,he can be approached and is free to move if he chooses to do so.I also believe you can only appraoch a maximum of two players from the same club within a four week period.

Any oversees player can contact any club and ask for a trial.Town have had various international players in the past, from places such as Comumbia,Nigeria..etc.Obviously a work permit needs to be gained before they can be signed.Steve Velendia is our only long term oversees import.Although i think was already settled in the UK before he joined the club.

Your golf "sneakers" were legendary but I remember a similar occurance at Melborn where you hit a 44 in a borrowed pair..... I soon took them back!
So come next Saturday dont be surprised if you cant find them, as a hit squad is out to get them!!

As for the price of my Fazer (£45) your clubs would raise three times that at auction.......wooden shafted clubs are rare these days!! biglaugh
