Wow, talk about a game of two halves. 2-0 down after 17 minutes, not an effort on goal with some people wondering what the fall-out might be.

 

Our first goal before half-time was crucial, it gave us something to build on and be positive about.

 

If the chaps could bottle and sell the half-time team talks they would be millionaires as we looked like a different side in the second half. I did wonder when Burbs hit the bar early in the half, but we created loads of chances and deservedly won the game. MOTM Paul Shave, involved in all of our goals and showed the hunger and desire to go in where it hurts on more than one occasion.

 

I thought we got our subs spot on today and it was priceless to see Hodgie ease his way to the far side just before being subbed. LMFAO East Thurrock muppett keeeper - how left sunshine??

 

Hopefully this fantastic result will give the lads the belief to get a good result against Staines on Tuesday and perhaps some of our supporters will start believing a bit more too. There's still work to be done of course, but coming back from two down takes character. Well done lads.

 

Come on you blues!!!!!

 

PS - BWG, you are allowed to smile!

Yep a game of two halves and the last half hour was very encouraging. 2008 is finding myself and jl agreeing on two match reports and opinions.

 

I do have a confession to make...I didn't believe we could do it but we did and credit to the players who stuck to the job in hand. Well done to Jason and Grant and to all the players.

 

MOM Paul Shave for all the reasons jl has mentioned.

A great comeback 2nd half and a top result. First half I thought we had the majority of the possession and yet we 2 down to their first two attacks. I agree pulling a goal back before half time made the difference.

 

Justice done with the result as their keeper was time wasteing at 2-1 up in the first half!

 

Agree MoM Shave - never gave up and deserved the fourth goal.

A good result, i would like to say well deserved, but another poor first half, and our normaly good defence showing holes. great hedder from Shave just before HT made me feel better. 2nd half things were looking-up, better possesion and some good runs from DWG. The penalty equaliser swung it for us and really motivated the guys, the 3rd and 4th goals we a bit lucky, right place right time but well taken! with help from the Rocks goalie.

 

Dormer and Shave had good games.

The whole point of the game is doing the right thing in the right place and preferably at the right time.

Sorry Top Cat can't see where your going on that one.

great result and even in the 1st half i felt we looked the better side. From where we were 1st goal looked like defensive lapse but apparrently forward made a great dummy which caught out defenders and let them in. 2nd looked like a push on westy's marker but even so our spirit did not fail and we were always looking for the win. subtitutions were spot on and showed we wanted to win it especially bringing jordan on and going back to 4 at the back once we were in front. As TC has shown our form is great especially as we have only lost one game away since the change and that was a fluke goal by the league leaders.

I would explain my view on the lucky goals, on lead up to the 3rd, Shave went down in the penalty area, play slowed as some palyers looked at him laying there and possibly thought about another penalty! lapse of concentration, a loose ball towards the goal that Burbs tucked away. on the 4th you must say a bounce back off the goalies legs was lucky for us and poor keeping from the goalie.

 

all that said it was a great end to the game and had me jumping about with joy!!!
