Idiots around the drum

During last Saturdays game, a Grays player was hurt and needed to be stretchered off the pitch, before they managed to stretcher him off, the guy was down for a long time, in obvious pain.

This of course encouraged the idiots behind the goal, to start chanting let him die etc, and also chanting the tune from the funeral march. sorry I find them sick, it was only a few days before that Phil O'Donnell died of a heart attack on the pitch. No respect shown from those so called fans!!!to the player or the game of football. The club also seem to ignore that at other grounds that they gave Phil O'Donnell a one minute show of appreciation,by clapping, but not at ours. Not a good !

First of all, we didn't play Grays on a Saturday.

Football fans will always goad the opposition.

Get off your political correctness horse.

While it is a tragedy what happened to Phil, how could the singers know that he was going to die like that before the event. Is Kenny a psychic?

As for the minutes silence/applause, I can understand why Scottish sides would do that. Had you heeard of him before his untimely passing?

Please stop tarnishing us all with the same brush! I enjoy singing at matches, but refuse to participate in such chants and tunes that you have mentioned, for the reasons that you have mentioned - I also know a few other people who have the same views on this as me and act the same as I do in this matter. I agree there can be idiots around the drum at times who open their mouths before engaging their brains but please recognise all of us are not the same!

I agree with what you say in principle, it's just the way you say it.

The let him die chant and funeral march song has happened for years down the Fleet. We do not need to point fingers at individuals and chastise them.

Not keen on the particular chant.

Watching player after player roll around grasping an ankle (then jump straight up) week after week, in an attempt to milk a free kick or yellow card for their opponent makes fans cynical.

So common its being parodied in a 'Snickers' TV ad...Mr T in a tank telling the villain of the piece to "Stop that jibber jabber and to Get some nuts!.

Reached the point where you even doubt your own players sometimes.

Drums and dives...South America's got a lot to answer for.

I did not pick on individuals, I pointed at a group of people, that gather in the drum area,if the hat fits etc.
To be fair though the player who was injured, was taking the pee a little, by crawling on to the pitch to try and get the game stopped, If a player fains injury give them stick by all means, but wait to see if he is faining injury before casting aspersions.
