That frightening BG Southern Premier. Kings Lynn to Merthyr and everything in-between. A season's coach bill must be shocking.

Border teams like them, Northwood, Wealdstone etc get pushed and pulled about at a whim. My local club Stamford got stuffed into the Northern Premier League this season. They were unimpressed!

TheSpursFan - It seems to be just happening to me and nobody else which is probably no surprise, do you think I should change my loggin details and see if it persists, if it does then it will have to be NeutralFan or Wader. The changes being made aren't dramatic and if the individual wanted to blacken my name I suppose he or she could really go to town if they wanted to.

As I said before I went to the game on Saturday I was not going to discuss other people who post on this forum with you. You did try and goad me into comment about two individuals but I chose not to reply. So it was probably at this point that you rudely but not altogether surprsingly left me in mid conversation without excusing yourself.

its the subtle changes though rhodes, the ones that hardly get noticed, but change the meaning completely to a new reader.

i thought the mis quoting was silly enough but this is going too far.

i did notice buryballer having a similar problem, he said he leaves the home pc logged on.i am logged on all over the place, perhaps I dont have mischievous colleagues or family.

i would suggest that any edits have to be flagged up, we all make spelling mistakes and occasional errors of judgement, no problem in admitting it.

My favourite spot is the valley at Llanthony, just below Lord Hereford's Knob and North of Abergavenny. The Priory and the Moon (proprietor Tony) where you can avail yourself of Bull Mastiff 'Son Of A Bitch' if you have the constitution for it. I do and it's one of my favourite ales. A Stunning place and I have spent many a New year there as well as walked and climbed almost every inch of the horseshoe mountains over to Hay on Wye.

Many Welsh clubs have a link to English football, mostly via the old Southern League. The two you have mentioned, Cardiff and Swansea, both started in the Southern League and in the early years the Southern League Division 2 was made up of a lot of Welsh teams, in fact the SL even had a Welsh section at one stage.

Merthyr Tydfil predecessors (Merthyr Town) played in the Southern League and Football League (being promoted enblock with all the other SL Div 1 sides back in 1920-21) but they closed down in 1934 (as a Southern League side, which they had rejoined some 4 seasons earlier) due to debts.

Tydfil were formed some ten years later, after World War 2 and joined the Welsh league-after a successful season they applied to join the Souther League that there predecessors played in and were accepted, so historically it can be argued that they are as much linked to the English league as either Cardiff and Swansea, albeit it at a lower level.

Okay, time for me to own up clippy. I did leave a few skeletons behind at Ilford. If you ever go to their ground, look behind the main stand and you'll see them in the cemetery! giggle

What season did you leave Ilford out of interest, were you still there in 2001/2002 when they reached the 5th Round of the London Senior Cup and really started to pull up trees in the Essex Senior League or had you already left for Potters Bar Town by then
