I'm sure your viewpoint will be seen as novel by the Chairmen of non-league clubs at every level throughout the country, just as they put their well worn hands into their pockets for another utility bill, kit or pitch repair invoice.

Wader - I take your point, as well as Uncle Urchin's, but money seems to be the be all and end all to you personally or that's the way you often come across. I'm sure 100% of Chairmen at non league level, other than obviously Chas and Azwar Majeed at Crawley Town and Firoz Kassam at Oxford United, share your view as they are in it for the love of the game and not what they can get out of it.

Seen as this is the Feb fixtures thread thought i would return to it, Having looked at them i can see New Bradwell climbing they are hard working and on the over-grown pitch we were made to play on could pick up enough points over the last 4 months to finish above Kentish how ironic that would be after there 0-6 drubbing by the said team!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fancy one of your invisible tenners on it Rhodes???????? duel

Spot on Wader applause sense as always, revenue at this level is even more important because the Kassem's of this world aren't there flashing the cash.

Oh, that reminds me McMullen, I owe Cec a tenner. I'm pretty sure he won't enjoy it as much as he enjoyed slagging off Gordon Boateng, but a bet is a bet and I know money is important to Cecil. I'll not muck about here Cec. If you have a Paypal account PM the name of it, or failing you doing that by Monday am I'll post a cheque to your club (ermm, Kentish Town for the sake of clarity). Cheers.

Finally, you've said something nice about Mr. Achillea. Is this your New Year's Resolution, clippy?

Bitch - I'm surprised at you, that's what makes our league unique and stand out from the crowd, what's the point in knowing who you are playing in April in August.

Yes you have. Read this post of yours again...

...apart from three very clearly named exceptions, you have stated that every single Chairman of a non-league football club is in it for the love of the game and not what they can get out of it. That is, by far, one of the nicest things (if not THE nicest thing) you have ever said about Mr. Achillea on this forum. Keep up the good work!

Wader - Thanks for agreeing to settle your debt, we don't have an active Paypal account any longer so if you care to post a cheque made payable to Kentish Town Football Club that will be much appreciated, my address is in the handbook. I only wish that the other five or six members who placed bets on Gordon not being at Goldsdown Road on Christmas Day were as forthcoming as yourself.

I HAVE been forthcoming, in rolling the bet on to one about the promotion hopefuls in Div 1!
