Someone obviously wants to see Crawley given that they will also be live 6 days previously. The choice of our game at Crawley does seem a strange one though. Hopefully we wont be a live game on Thursday 31 Jan or in the Setanta Shield Round 5, as that would mean we had failed to get past Dorchester in the 2nd round of the FA Trophy.

Should be a nice three days for the lads given they have to go to Torquay on the Saturday. You'd think Setanta might look at the fixtures before they announce their games.

I would put good money on that game being moved for the Sunday. Either way Satanta don't care about what happens to the players or the fans.

This fixture change will be a real nuisance in many respects - we face a big game at Torquay on Saturday 16 Feb, so less than 48 hours after the Crawley game now - potentially, I guess, we may try to get this moved back 24 hours? If we do move the Torquay game back, however, this would then be just 2 days before the scheduled date for the 6th round of the Setanta Shield (if we get past Weymouth in round 5, of course) so that game could then potentially be played on a Wednesday instead.

 

I am not so concerned about the Setanta Shield game, but it certainly wont be in our interests to play one of the toughest games of the season less than 48 hoursafter the trip to Crawley.
