A few weeks off but this promises to be our biggest gate of the season as i would expect quite a few Farnborough fans. Any chance we could have some posters advertising it around town - there should be plenty of goals and a good atmosphere to help attract a few more fans.

I reckon they'll bring 100-150, with hopefully at least 200 of us should beat our current high of 253 comfortably. Be interesting to see how far we've come since our thrashing at their place... Yet again this Saturdays game at Andover (who are one place above us) is a must win, at the very least we need a draw, but after 3 defeats on the spin confidence is probably low although Barney will be back for this game, interesting that the 3 games he was absent we lost all 3, wonder what sort of influence he has.

Also Farnborough have let go 2 strikers, Ray Spence and Neville Roach (gone to Uxbridge).

Tho Dennison has done well for us I think having Barney back will be a big plus.

 

His presence and all round game is just a few notches ahead.

 

If Dennison is prepared to learn from Barney and cover for him when required I think in time he could be a very good keeper.

Barney should be 1st choice with Dennison as reserve but hopefully he'll learn alot from Barney as he's only young. Depends if Barney (and Betts) get the manager's job permanently the goalkeepers situation may change if Barney wants to concentrate more on managing/coaching. Still think we need a prolicfic striker as we're creating more chances but are either to afraid to shoot or miss too much... Roach would have been ideal!

why is it we dont go to the ball to shoot??

 

so many times when the ball comes to the edge of the area we are afraid to shoot or let them shut us down too quickly by hesitating

 

dennison is only 18 or something isnt he?? top top shot stopper and of course he has a lot to learn barney can be that person to help him

 

farnborough should be a good atmosphere. lets hope we have a win or 2 by then to convince more fans to definately bother coming to the farnborough game

Unfortunately i won't be wearing my Indian wedding gear on Saturday cos it is going to be bloody freezing rather than 30 degrees.

I think you should expect 100-150 Farnborough supporters, they hold your fans in very high regard.

I expect they let Spence go for getting himself sent off playing Sunday morning football just before xmas.

 

Absolutely ridiculous playing Sunday morning football when the team he plays for on a Saturday are a) paying him good money and are in contention for the title.

 

Still, done us a favour, we wont have to contend with his pace.

I think that's the reason why they lost their Assistant Manager Steve Moss due to Him not playing Spence for the same reason whilst Clemo was on Holiday?

Yeah Roach would have been ideal, but guess he would have wanted a bit of cash. However, if he's gone to Uxbridge that may not be the case...

So, have any posters been made and distributed ahead of the game?

None have been done as far as I'm aware of. To be honest the posters we've done in the past haven't made any difference to the attendance and unless it's a big cup game, in a higher league or have our own ground then I don't think they're needed.
