Canman Posted March 27, 2003 Share Posted March 27, 2003 rod moore does a excellent impression of peter risdale.he sells all the clubs players and then is baffled by the fact that the supporters are upset.have you seen their crowds recently 170 the other week thats going to look good in their new 8,000 capacity stadium.wouldnt be great to thrash them in the two forthcoming league matches, theres no reason why we cant win both by a good 5 or 6 goal margin. Canman Posted March 27, 2003 Author Share Posted March 27, 2003 ive been a visitor to this site for a couple of years but have only just sorted out a e mail address to be able to post.as a resident of basildon i have special reason to be anti billericay, my house is only yards from gloucester park and it sickens me and most local residents that the local council is dead keen on billericay building a ground there.but of course they couldnt build a ground in their own back yard, despite the acres of green fields as it may have a adverse effect on house prices in their town. Why our you so worried about our stadium? You concentrate on your team who have yet again failed to get to the conference. If we have our first choice defence against you we may get a result as Aldershot only scored 1 against us and they are better than Canvey. There's no way you'll put 5 or 6 past JJ. We won't be in the Essex Senior League as in 2004/2005 we will be in the conference div 1. Yet again somebody is trying to slag off Canvey as if 'runners up' were a failure. Yes, I know it's not the ultimate prize but fair comment, 'runners up' ought to be seen as an achievement, surely? I could understand the jibe if you were saying, "Yet again, Canvey will finish 9th, or 8th, or 7th, or 12th!" (incidentally, they are Billericay's finishing postions over the past four years), but finishing runners up? Many clubs print a section in their programmes under the heading 'Honours' and in that section you always see mention of Runners Up. It is an honour. OK, it's better to be Champions, but I still think that Canvey have had the honour of being runners up for the past two seasons and, if they don't manage promotion this season, I hope they will have the honour of being runners up. Perhaps you're a bit like the bloke with a lottery ticket in his hand and a look of despair on his face. "I only won £350,000... sob... sob." Just cause you're 'fans' are constantly slagging off the Board and Management after every decision they make that you don't agree with, but that's the great thing about freedom of speech on this forum. What we say about Billericay or any other team on this forum is the opinion of the poster, (mostly Canvey fans) and here it stays. You can p1$$ off to your own board and say whatever crap you want to about us, but that's your opinion and it deserves to stay on your board.
