and we surge into a new year full of optimism and hope for the rest of the season and beyond......as a team we haven't seen anywhere near the best of our lot and that is yet to come...a play off place is real and the championship is not over with by a long way......chelmo and hendon will drop points in the rain and mud and others with title pretentions will falter....

 

off the pitch we have plans to push our facilities out into the market place again and increase our attendances using every media outlet available to us....a new ground gets more of a reality as each day passes and more news on that for you all in the spring.....(we all have to understand that the process must be kept under wraps for the time being to avoid ground share applications... grin.....).....

 

it will take time...it will take patience and will also take a prolonged and expensive battle with the local authorities who have as much interest in sport in the community as they have in being honest on election day...nonetheless we will prevail...

 

change is never easy and never welcomed by the few that enjoy the comfort zone but change is overdue and critical if we are to make full use of our wonderful facilities and push our club onwards again after 3 years of rebuilding and entrenching....

decisions must always be made for the good of the club and not the few who will inevitably resist change......they will be...

 

we are blessed with a manager who knows how to win football matches and lives and drinks such victories...we are blessed with good players who will gell more as the weeks go by under colin's management....we are blessed with a board that have the interests of the club fully at heart and who can manage and control sustained growth on the pitch whilst being brave and strong enough to impliment change off it....

 

we may not win the championship this year and we may not win or even make the play offs this season...but we shall compete for both and regardless of our league position come the season end we shall move forward on and off the pitch with all the resources that are available to our wonderful little club and its fantastic fans....

 

get in there and enjoy this new year.....yay
