I will be covering the game tomorrow from Stonebridge Road. For the first time ever Greenie will be summarising alongside me as I do commentary.

 

I promise to turn the microphones off when commentary ends. But then again.......................

I won't be there tomorrow as work has taken precedence so will be listening in.

 

Any mention of Steve Portway will be awarded bonus points.

So Greenie is axed to the bench after his terrible blooper and the promising 'youngster' gets promoted to the starting line-up.....should keep C.G. happy.

Anyone can slip Portway into a Fleet commentary so no points for that Lord Chas but if you could slip Reginald Bosanquet in it would be worth triple brownie points.

Stacey WAS magnificent. Well as Smudger played, it beggared belief that Long wasn't man of the match. And whilst announcing it Long scored his second!

However, Smith was solid at the back. It is easy to give MoM to a forward, cos they get the goals. Rewarding a defender who has a good game is just as important.

The concensus from the 40 or so around me was that Stacey deserved mom.
