Well I don't eat that many beans, lol :-) And how can a Dolphins fan tell me anything after the season they had!!! Lol. I was supporting the Dolphins at Wembley in late October, I have the programme and my Dolhpins towel at home and it was great to see the NFL London game and they will be returning here next year, although venue and teams still to be decided, but one of New Orlans, Seattle, Kansas City or Tampa Bay will be the home team.

There has been alot of trouble at Charlton v Palace games over the last few years, so can see why the police wanted it moved so they can give it all their attention. Some Charlton fans were attacked on a train at the game earlier in the season.

Cheers :-)

Sorry mate, couldn't resist.

I don't agree with it by the way but realise that you have your reasons.

There is bugger all chance of us striking but what could happen is that if we were allowed to take industrial action it would severly embarrass the government. Also you could have a situation where we would work only our allocated hours. An example being the postponement of football all over the Country as much of it policed by the re-rostering of Officers days off. I dont believe any of the emergency services should strike but I believe we should be treated with a bit more respect by a Government that I helped to vote into power!

I'm one of the lucky ones as I'm not working on a response team any more but its not unusual for an Officer to have to work well past their finishing time without a real break in order to process prisoners after arrest. I'm just finishing 12 straight days without time off and built up 30 hours overtime in the process. The money is welcome but my social life is nil as a result. I've already lost one marriage as a result of this job and missed out on a great part of seeing my Daughter grow up. Its not something we complain about as we have generally been looked after by the government. But as a result of this refusal to back-date our pay-claim, they or rather this Home Secretary has just screwed up that trust.

And yes Harry, I doubt if anyone would notice if I went into work or not, as my Daughter once said in an essay, My Dad is a policeman, he goes to work and drinks lots of tea!

By the way the white caps were worn as we wern't allowed to wear any sort of uniform on the march, something I agreed with!

Maybe if the Police concentrated on the less serious crimes such as gangs of drunken chavs kicking defenceless people to death, rapists, child abusers and muggers and channelled more resourses into serious stuff like people eating a mars bar whilst driving a car, dropping litter or smoking in a bus shelter then you wouldn't need to do so many hours overtime and go home safe in the knowledge that these henious criminals are behind bars. Forgive the spelling but I'm dyslesicanndf..

Boyz and Gals. The Police react nowadays, if they think there is going to be a crowd and if a certain level of a footy competion is reached....

For example. Take the (humble/d) Angels cup match v Wombles the other week. It's well known the cuddly one's travel in numbers, plus our (usually stayaway) Support of 400-500 fans + Neutrals. Well, a couple of weeks before the huge (;) ) match the Police said 'Segregation, No Wombles in the bars, and all had to be away straight after the final whistle........Well! Out of the million (no exaggeration) times we've played them there has been no segregation, no trouble etc Angels took exception to it. Besides loss of earnings... If you treat fans like animals you'll get animals frown. In the end, sense prevailed.... No segregation, no ban from bar (few wombles drink anyhow) and all went smoothly. The Police did thier bit, they were outside the station, and a presence enroute, but were unobtrusive at the ground, and that's the way it should be. If neeeded they are around. smile

The Darts have got a magnificent stadium. They have good security. I can't see this match should be treated any differently. Just one word of warning. It's a totally non smoking ground, so fill up before you get in smile

We are still Dartford FC! I'd rather start again than be named after a train station and owned by god knows who. Dartford still superior in every way after all those years.
