Who have changed his mind ?

Yes,the hoofball.

I am Wolves,I am well familiar with a team hoofing the ball.

In Wolves case the root to all evil steems from defence lacking in pace, allthough Mick McCarthy won´t acknowledge it.

Especially critical if central defence lacks pace.It will make central midfield sit back too deep in order to aliby the flaw.

Enter the hoofball-what else to do?

Thats Wolves,this is Ebbsfleet.

I got that impression listening to Fleet matches on the radio that the team really didn´t create enough chances. Therefore I do not entirely blame forwards. They seemed to be getting lousy service.

Like you say Slartibartfast,it may be different reasons for this. The main problem needs to be identified, and adressed.

People do need to look outside the forwards when contemplating transfers for Ebbsfleet though. There is too much one way traffic regarding that for the moment I tend to think.

This is a happy clapping forum in comparsion.
It´s not even a mild breeze compared to hurricane warning on Wolves forums.
And compare the Wolves' far larger fanbase. % wise, the complaints are probably similar %.

It's just you notice it more with a larger number of fans to start with!

On the other hand when we did have a top quality striker last season he brought much more to the side than just goals, his running off the ball pulled defences about and made opportunities for both himself and others and his willingness to chase everything turned some average clearances into good balls. Maybe we do need another Charlie.
There are no easy solutions if there where we would all be managers. doh

No problems though, better opportunities to critisize me will present itself.Patience is a virtue they say.
Nice one WaggaMick.I wondered why Ebbsfleet scored so little goals and at the same time conceded little.Have the Ebbsfleet midfield sat back too deep this season or what?
If a team doesn´t score,then it´s not all forwards fault.Something else have been missing..what?
Basically this seems to be a happy clapping forum.I see too little critisism of team and way of playing football.
I understand expectations hasn´t been higher than what team has produced, and most probably rightfully so by that is not the main point.
In order to progress one should look at the weaknesses and try to understand why they are there, and what to do to correct them.
Pre Grays..Ebbsfleet was basically scoring too little.
Why?

Because until the last couple of weeks we were playing with strikers who were indecently out of form and couldn't hit a cow's ar*e with a banjo.
Hopefully, Akinde's emergence as a striker with some potential with spur Nade and Eribenne to better things, and improve their form and strike rate.

Why not put it on here where they can read it, that will help.

You can be a real pillock at times.

Akinde seems to have better movement off the ball than Chukki or Raffa, which certainly helps - possibly learned from watching/ working with Charlie Mac last season.

Indeed, the movement from everyone off the ball against Grays was far better than most previous games this season.

3 wins and a draw in the previous 4 games made a big difference to the sides confidence.

Grays were not the worst opposition we've faced, but we played them off the park.

If we can repeat performances of that ilk regularly for the rest of the season, we will win far more than we lose.

nothings changed yet so nothing to change mind about.

money coming in is good

the PR is good

I think that the people getting involved will make us more proffessional off the field.

But the child like mantra of picking teams and choosing transfer targets etc is a non starter for me, and unless watered down or dropped, there will be no change of mind.

What if it empirically works? Would that change your mind? Just curious.

I don't think it will work but will wait and see. Would you change your mind if it didn't work?

So, making 'good' jokes about MyFC is fair?

Come on, be fair: any consortium of outsiders coming in to take over a football club is greeted with suspicion and barbed comments - it's always been true in the past and it's true with MyFC as well. People don't automatically trust people with no interest in their club who come in to take it over.

If you want to play at being chairmen, be prepared to be treated like chairmen.
