Nade will have trouble regaining his place though, and afterall that is just how it should be.

How many times have you seen Nade play then?

Might be the time soon for the regular match goers on this Forum to give more recent Fans a bit of a 'heads up' on the EUFC squad.

I know that I can source match reports and short player biographies from the EUFC web site and read some very good match reviews on this Forum but your various thoughts on the abilities, strengths and weaknesses of every player in the squad should come in handy at 'voting for the team' time.

Even if you resent the whole MyFC thing it would be counter productive for the team you 'love' to not share your thoughts and experience and enlighten those faced with future team selection.
As you are well aware a lot of the opinions on this Forum make their way directly or indirectly on to the MyFC Forum.

Creation of a separate thread would probably be the way to go.

Could formalise it with categories like Preferred Position, Pace,
Left Foot/Right Fooy/Both, Poise, Potential, Tackling, Creativity, etc.....or just a general discussion.

With all this extra money due, couldn't we employ somebody to do all this? Give a weekly report on players or something. We could call him a head coach or something, anything but manager (wouldn't want him getting ideas above his station or space to do his job)

I am a journalist for the belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

I am interested in the story of My Footballclub and Ebbsfleet United. Anyone who wants to give his/her opinion on the subject, especially on choosing the team yourself, please send me an e-mail with your phone number, I will contact you today to write my article.

Thank you very much

Very strange for a journalist to have a hotmail contact address, surely? Unless the Belgian press do things differently.

Also very strange to be trawling for phone numbers when someone can include the information you want in an email that you're already asking them to send to you.

Why not hop on the Eurostar on Saturday for the home game and get all the opinions you can record...

Might be a freelance journalist..?

C'mon now Stu, ALL journos are gutterscum, freelance or not! In fact anyone who can string a sentence together without making a spelling mistark is to be viewed as suspicious in my book (which wasn't written by me in any way).

Slartibartfast//I´ve seen him exactly zero times.I don´t think this will shock you anyway because you have too much common sense and it is not precisely a fringe decision to make so to speak.Got interested when Akinde played in the KSC...compared that to what Nade has actually produced on pitch this season, then read what some of you traditional Fleet supporters thought of it,then I reached my conclusion at about the same time as Daish I suppose, and low and behold..it was exactly the same!

No problems though, better opportunities to critisize me will present itself.Patience is a virtue they say.

Nice one WaggaMick.I wondered why Ebbsfleet scored so little goals and at the same time conceded little.Have the Ebbsfleet midfield sat back too deep this season or what?

If a team doesn´t score,then it´s not all forwards fault.Something else have been missing..what?

Basically this seems to be a happy clapping forum.I see too little critisism of team and way of playing football.

I understand expectations hasn´t been higher than what team has produced, and most probably rightfully so by that is not the main point.

In order to progress one should look at the weaknesses and try to understand why they are there, and what to do to correct them.

Pre Grays..Ebbsfleet was basically scoring too little.

Why?

Well we weren't missing shedloads of chances for a start.

Of course it isn't always easy to identify why things aren't working, if I was to be very simplistic I would say that we have been playing too much hoofball but the question of course is why.
None of the players go out at the start of the match with the intention of kicking it as high as they can but often that is what happens.
It could be lack of time on the ball, lack of movement from the rest of the team or lack of skill from the players but it definately isn't, as some of our fans would have you believe, the Managers instructions.
I suspect that a major contributing factor to our excellent performance on Tuesday was that Grays failed to turn up....of course it didn't hurt that Stacy Long, who has been fairly anonymous of late , showed us again that when he is on form he is one of the best players in this league.

Because until the last couple of weeks we were playing with strikers who were indecently out of form and couldn't hit a cow's ar*e with a banjo.
Hopefully, Akinde's emergence as a striker with some potential with spur Nade and Eribenne to better things, and improve their form and strike rate.

If that was true though we would have been creating plenty of chances every week which our strikers where squandering and anyone who went to those games Gary would tell you that that was simply not the case.
Although Akinde did play well against Grays don't forget that all four goals where scored by the midfield although Bostwick ouldn't have scored if Akinde hadn't completely missed the ball when presented with an open goal from twelve yards by Stacy Long.
