Who have changed his mind ?

The only way to change peoples minds, if that still has to be done is with our actions. There has been so much talk, now we have to follow up with actions.

Get more people down to home games and keep the away following at a constant and hopefully improving level.

We all need this deal to be completed, then things can be done that can produce revenue for the club.

Having been to my first game at the weekend at Stafford, I loved the drum, the fans were all great and I think that away support can be seriously built up with a lot of work and trying to get more people to go away. I know it doesn't help the club financially unless its a cup match, but I like to think that the fans supporting right to the end helped the players go all out for the win at the end. 2008 is the year for MYFC members to put up or shut up.

Think I'm beginning to change my mind about it. All MyFC members I've spoken to have said they are going to leave it to Liam Daish to select the teams and choose who he wants in transfers, and not vote. All who I spoken to are pleadge their £35 and leaving it to Liam to do his job. So, overall, I'm beginning to like, more than dislike, the idea.

As someone sitting on the 'outside', and with no particular interest but having followed the discussion, I can't help but think this is a money-spinner, BUT FOR WHOM, I ASK MYSELF ?????

It's my understanding that there isn't going to be a 'Let Liam choose the team' option. If this is the case, anyone not voting just makes it easier for some kind of stupid shock result to happen

I can just see it, 30,000 members, only 10,000 vote as the others want Liam to choose, all of a sudden we've dot a different formation than wanted or is usual as those that DO vote want to show their independence. All the plans made by the team in training during the week are for naught.

But to answer the original question, whilst certainly not happy about any of this, I'm glad of the money and wouldn't want it to fall through now, we look even more foolish than we already do with all the goings on of this year.

I've been on the myfc forum a fair amount and they mostly don't appear to be idiots and seem to have their hearts in the right place, I just hope that they stay out of any running of the club as much as is humanly possible.

I don't think I'll ever join though

I would hope we will be given Liams 11 of choice, then many will go along with him. I dont like the idea of being able to give Liam your vote on a permenant basis as some have suggested.

I see him as agood communicator, and if he makes it clear that he wants to rest this player or that, then people will go with him.

From a personal point of view, you pay a guy to manage/coach and then you let him get on with it. My role is to try and give him the right environment to do the best that he can, by providing him with funds and very noisy support on the terraces.

I'm not sure you can do that though to be honest. Either he's running the squad or not. Either he's picking the squad or not. How can you train set pieces all week only to find a player pivotal to your plans out or the formation changed?

I take your point. However, I would hope that the team would have other options within the team for certain situations, eg a free kick on the edge of the box in range. If a team practised for only 1 guy to take them and he gets injered early on, who take the free kick then ?

The whole thing is open to arguments, and I suppose we will have to see how things happen, then things will develop in time. But if left winger 1 who takes the inswinging right corners is replaced by left winger 2, you would hope he could also take a corner.

The team has to have options within them, hopefully we will get to that position. But I cant really answer you as it hasn't been tried before. I just hope the team can adapt as and when needed as they would if played get injered or sent off within a game.

As the team has to adapt, I expect the fans will have to do the same.

The team on the net on a Thursday is only an opinion of Saturdays team, although probably quite near to the final choice. The final team would only be made public to everybody & MYFC members on the Saturday when the team sheet is given to the ref. If a team is winning and with no injeries, how often does a team pick itself from last week ?

It would be interesting if somebody could look into the Fleets games this season and see how many changes have been made from one game to another.

But haven't many people from myfc already said on here that it's more or less a certainty that Liam's choices will be picked? If this is the case (a) When will Liam's original choices be made public for everyone (opposition included) to see and (B) what is the point of people even picking if the outcome is a given?

You have to admit that it would be a great advantage for an opposition manager to have, didn't Andy Ford say so a month or so ago?

I think that's a natural sign of the cynical age we live in. We all assume it has to be corrupt somehow. The only financial winner in this relationship is the club. None of the members can ever profit financially.

Some will claim the Operator is making a killing off of the administration fee, but given their expenses and staff, I don't think they're even level yet, so that's not really the great scandal some would like it to be.

Hard as it is to believe, it's simply a bunch of fans wanting to work together to see a single club succeed.
