Brightside Bloke
CCFC Whoops ccfc. Are in need of some tent pegs for the plastic benches / dugouts. Seems the idea of placing one sub in them during half time does not work. mind you looking at the area the ground is in I'm sure they should find plenty of tent pegs near by. F G United
Sorry Brightside, was the toilet paper the wrong colour for you as well? You seem to be looking for any excuses to run us down. What about giving us a match report, did you think you played well. To get it rolling I thought it was one of the dullest local derby games played between to date. GazzaBTFC
Reading the Non League Paper and I was shoicked to read a fair assesment of yesterdays game. I suppose we should take some heart that there was little on show from the clarets on the pitch for their reporter to indulge in the usual "hyper bowl" that is written about them. They should stop getting their Chav supporters to throw bricks at the travelling away supporters transport and maybe use them to hold down the dug outs. Actually, one of the stewards who ran over to put the dug outs back up did say to me "Where is Jeff King when you need him", which is quite witty considering. F G United
With a crowd of near on 2,000 not a good advert for football either, we know both sides can be exciting to watch.

F G United
Brightside, I did say earlier somewhere the own goal was very fortunate for us, the ball took a nasty bounce for the defender.

F G United
Gazza are you serious on your transport being attacked. If you are it might be worth contacting the club, I'm not sure if the carpark is covered by the CCTV. The cul"pricks" need identifying!
witham claret
Nothing like sour grapes!!! I think you will find that the match reports that appear in the Sunday Papers, when we are at home, are generally a fair assessment of the game we have been too. The "hyper Bowl" as you call it, well just look at our home record all wins bar one draw, so you are going to be reading about a chelmsford win on that basis, and they have generally been very good performances Just get over it, you lost, we won, its not the end of the world. We have not won the league yet and you still have time to save yourselves from relegation!!!!! So concentrate on your own teams failings rather than than act like spoilt kids looking for the slightest thing wrong in the Chelmsford set up to make you feel big/clever/better (You chose which one fits you best)and dont be so bitter all the time!!!!! GazzaBTFC
It was outside the gound F G, past the row of shops. Some friendly banter and hand signals from both parties that ended with a couple of items being thrown by those residents that were disturbed from their weekly act of soliciting. Things were thrown when we moved off and only one or two hits were scored. I don't think there was any damage.
witham claret
Sounds like your making it up!!!! Two direct hits and they were apparently bricks, yet no damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you sure you have got your facts right? Unlike you to ever blow a situation out of all proportion Fact - Billericay Hooligan chavs invaded the pitch area while game in progress. Fact - Billericay hooligan chavs try to start fight with steward.

Very well said witham claret - but take it from me, you're wasting your time with "this lot" (NB the expression "this lot" lifted from a Ricay posting on the soapbox). I choose all three!!! And I don't need to feel big (I am already), I don't need to feel clever (I am all ready) and I don't need to feel better because I'm feeling quite perky this morning but thank you for giving me the choices. As for the last one? Don't try and second guess me. I'm not bitter at all. Disapointed because IMO, I think if we played up to our potential we could've beaten you. But it's all over now...onwards for 2008
witham claret
Well said.... onwards and upwards for both teams in 2008. However, interesting that you wont comment comment on your own Chav hooligan element which seems to appear every time we play you. Yet, it is always brought up about the "chelmsford Chav" element and if they do exist, seemed to behave themselves like proper football fans by not invading the pitch area and not looking to attack stewards! GazzaBTFC
Well, you see, While I was passing the main stand yesterday, I heard quite a lot of abuse (the "c" word was used quite a bit) to describe our supporters. My own take is that it takes one to know one. I'm sure, from what I have read and been told that it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. When your travelling support have visited New Lodge, the same applies. At least your P A survived.
jl
Originally Posted By: witham claret by not invading the pitch area and not looking to attack stewards! I think that the problem at the start of the game was because the last time we were actually allowed behind a goal at MP the entrance to the "RoRo" was on the far side of the ground, the one opposite the main stand. Naturally, a lot of our supporters went this way only to be confronted by a barricade and then be expected to circumnavigate the whole ground to enter the "RoRo" from the other side. The steward on the far side should have just used his brain and let everyone through without fuss as this would have avoided any "incident". Also if there had been signposting or stewards advising supporters of the correct point of entry to the far end terrace before they had made their way all the way round, the situation would not have arisen. I hope WC takes these comments constructively but I somehow doubt it.
witham claret
If that was your take on it then so be it!! But if your gonna make up stories about bricks hitting you that cause no damage(?!?!?!), which to be fair is pretty low to make up stuff like that! Then you have to be expected to be questioned about the real events witnesssed by the whole crowd being, the Billericay Holligan Chavs invading the pitch and trying to start a fight with the steward. Balmoral Claret
"At least your P A survived." Well, let's face it Gazza, what's the use of damaging it - apparently, you can't hear a bloody thing through it anyway!
GazzaBTFC
WC, things were thrown at our bus, a couple hit, what the damage was, I don't know. Someone mentioned bricks, it could've been cans or, maybe one of the young ladies pair of knickers (it was a fair thump)...not making it up, it happened. BC, I did hear it yesterday...a whisper but it was there.
