Being in the public eye is great, as it may draw in bigger and better sponsors, but to be honest I would rather be talked about, what we are achieving on the pitch, rather than off of it chestram2

Not if the Fleet introduce flexible 5 or 10 match mini (even micro) season tickets - a lot of web based fans would buy one just to show support for the club knowing they couldnt attend all (or any) of the games.

And yes I know about the existing half-season tickets, they dont really offer the flexibility that a ticket would do if it let you pick your matches.

I mentioned this before - being able to pre-purchase a ticket for 5 games is a great idea. Sure, there is some extra admin involved - but as mentioned, some would buy this and not make all the games, and the club still get the money...

First timer on this forum here. Why? I'm from MYFC (boo, hiss).

Based in the Midlands and got to Stafford yesterday (3 points, yippee)

Why should I care about the Fleet? I have Kentish grandparents surnamed Tappenden - how local is that?

I love proper footie - standing up, being close to players officials and other fans - and tell you what, I met loads more like me yesterday , both original Fleet folk and newbies like me(one from Finland).

I hope the deal goes through for all our sakes and make Fleet the best supported team both home and away. The lads play good stuff and keep going right to the end. You should be proud of them. See you soon.

Why would someone purchase a micro ticket if they knew they couldn't make all of the games. Surely there are other ways to show support other than buying a micro ticket just for the sake of it. Seems more of a status symbol to me. At 13 pound admission makes more sense just to pay per game for the irregular web fans. Then if those who really want to invest more money, either sign up to Myfc for 5 years or put money into the Fleet Trust or even better both.

Not to drag this thread too far off topic, but has anyone heard a definitive answer on how multiple-year memberships are being handled? I mean specifically how the additional revenue is being treated. Does it all go into the pot now, or is it held in reserve (gaining interest) for those future years?

I signed up for two years when I joined, but I don't want to sign up for more than that until I know the answer to that one. If too many sign up for multiple-year memberships and the income isn't held in reserve, then our cashflow in the future suffers. I'm here for the long term, even if I don't pay for it all up front, though.

I think you are asking on the wrong board rsheard!! confused As forum moderator on the MyFC site, you should have more information about whats happening regarding future years money than most of the people here!

I would like to think tho, that forward planning is a major part of the MyFC plan - as one of the requirements to buy into a club was the opportunity to own it 100% eventually.

Just goes to prove we are not all knowing and all seeing.

I would certainly hope so - and would be very p*ssed off if it wasn't.

In the States, minor league baseball and ice hockey teams offer voucher books (5 or 10 tickets) good for 1 admission per voucher. Usually they are offered for a slightly reduced rate (say 5 tickets usually sold at 10 quid would be in this flex pack for 40-45 quid). Each voucher can be redeemed for 1 general admission or reserved ticket (as stated on the voucher) to any home game at the ticket booth. It can be used in any combination from 1 person for say 5 games or 5 people for 1 game. It allows flexibility for the fan and up front revenue for the club. It allows you to be able to go to any match and allow you to give them as gifts. These are usually pretty popular here in the States. Just an elaboration on the idea.

Wasn't this one of the initial points? Is 3 years the set date for this - or am I losing the plot to Guinness and single malt?

Edit - ah, nope - found it HERE

Alternatively they could review their full season ticket prices at the same time as they introduce other flexible options. Buying in bulk means a bigger discount for most other things I can think of.

Agree. But IMHO the current season ticket cost represents very good value.
