Games Postponed Today

Recommended Posts

I've seen Coles Park in a lot worse state than that, there was a game with Leverstock Green three seasons ago that was abandoned at half time with the hallowed turf resembling the Atlantic Ocean, one minute it was as dry as a bone and the next it was totally under water yet Haringey Borough never lift a finger to address the problem.

Why not come and see our FA Mud Bath Wrestling Vase 5th Round tie sponsored by Daz against Market Drayton Town tomorrow. Match ON!

See website for details and how you can win a superb car.
(Just kidding about the car).

Would love to, especially given a lack of games recently. However the clean-up operation begins in earnest today and we will probably have our own mud wrestling experience. Not really looking forward to this depressed

That's diappointing and no doubt frustrating for the deadly duo, the pitch at Herns Lane has never been the best has it.

Kentish Town FC Vs Aylesbury Vale FC Postponed

Due to an unfit pitch

Despite the best efforts of myself and the ground staff

the ground is too soft to play on.(Not Waterlogged).

The only surprise is that the SSML didn't insist on the game being switched to Aylesbury Vale, this could have been arranged yesterday when I reliably informed Horace the game would definitely be off.

If you had looked at the fixtures for tonight you would have sen that Aylesbury Vale Reserves are playing at home tonight.

Have any games been called off as yet today, I suppose the million dollar question is will Kentish Town v Hertford Town survive.

... actually the questions' worth about 50p and a stale bun - Game off - according to Mitoo (and the 'forbidden zone' posted as much about 1/2 hr ago frown ) )

... doubt if there was an option to reverse either - even if they had Ressies who weren't at home (do they have a Reserve team in the Herts County Lge?) I'd expect Hertingfordbury Pk. would still be a mite soggy?

Royals26 - It's interesting that nobody from Kentish Town had the decency to come on to make an announcement that the game was called off, it's beyond a joke now as it has been like spring for a week and hasn't rained once. The impression we were given on Wednesday was that the game with Aylesbury Vale was fairly close to going ahead so you would have thought that today's fixture with Hertford Town would have stood a better than average chance of taking place.
