Now come on you Supporters and join us at Stafford on Saturday!

Your team needs you!

At present we have 5 more spaces left on the minibus (takes 17). All for the amazingly low sum of £20 return per person ground to ground, with excellent banter in both directions!

I have private messaged you his number as I didnt think it was for me to post it on a board.

Of course it will be... I'm going! wink grin

Will be my first trip to Stafford, have been told the ground is [****!!****], but oh well, we'll go there and get a good game, with another John Akinde goal! grin

Maybe we could get some professional wrestlers in the squad then

Haha, that depends. Are we going to fight fire with fire and play relegation football, as we've done in previous seasons? Hoofing the ball up to a tiny frontman who is instantly outmuscled by a 6ft4 centreback, who then hoofs the ball over our defence? Or will we play the better football and actually outclass them with passing and movement etc? Either way, I think Akinde could be useful.

That all depends if the 'Fleet can play relegation football better than Stafford.

Stafford proved to be particularly good at "hoofing the ball up to a tiny frontman" during the corresponding fixture last season

David MacNiven ended taking home the matchball and all but put an end to any play-offs aspirations.

Stafford were good at hoofball though. From what I can remember, none of their goals were particularly well-worked, but were the result of a long ball and then pressure. We couldn't defend against that last year, as underlined by the Tamworth game two weeks later, when exactly the same tactics led to an equally disappointing result. Was Paul McCarthy sent off at Stafford?
